"Last year I had them install on my deck an entire screen porch including a roof awning and screens. They came back immediately to tighten up a few spots. They removed it for the winter, stored it and then beautifully reinstalled it this spring. I love the entire porch and their service."

Small jobs welcome

"Creative Concrete removed our old patio and sidewalk, installed a new stamped stained patio and sidewalk, and also removed and replaced steps that a prior contractor had not installed to code. Ty and his guys are extremely hard-working, professional and Ty did exactly what he said he would do. He went above and beyond the original plan by replacing rotted wood they found under the sliders to the patio with composite board and flashing. He made sure we were happy with plans before moving forward, kept us informed every step of the project, continually got our input and kept us appraised of the status of the work. He did a walk-through when it was completed to be sure we were pleased. The project was completed on time at the cost he estimated, and it is beautiful!! I look out at the patio and think it looks like a work of art and couldnâ t be happier. I would highly recommend Creative Concrete. Ty is a pleasure to work with â thereâ s no one better."

"Love our new patio room and enjoy it daily. Patio Enclosures did a great job. Although it took a little longer than expected due to issues with our HOA, Patio Enclosures helped us at each step. Would highly recommend."

Patios questions, answered by experts

A sunroom will add more value to your home than a deck, but with a much higher up-front cost. Depending on its construction and function, a sunroom may be counted as additional living space, while a deck is strictly an outdoor feature. Both will increase your home’s value, but the sunroom will have a much bigger effect.

In most parts of the U.S., adding a screened-in porch requires a building permit. Since this type of project often involves structural work and changes to your home’s footprint, homeowners should adhere to local guidelines. That said, permit rules can vary widely depending on where you live and how extensive the project is. Before you start sketching out plans or ordering materials, check in with your city or county’s building department to avoid headaches, fines, and potential structural issues down the line.

Building a sunroom can take anywhere from two weeks to six months. An average-sized sunroom typically takes between two and eight weeks to complete, but more elaborate or larger projects can take longer. The final timeline depends on factors such as the sunroom's size, features, structural requirements, type, and whether it's a retrofit or a new build from scratch.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.

Yes, adding a sunroom can increase your home's value, with a return on investment (ROI) ranging from 20% for a screen room to 50% for a three- or four-season room. The amount of value added depends on the design. Fully insulated, temperature-controlled four-season sunrooms add the most value as they can be included in the home's total living space. In contrast, simpler structures like Arizona rooms or solariums typically have a lower return as they don't count as legal living space. A high-quality sunroom can also be an attractive feature for potential buyers, especially those who enjoy gardening. The value may also be higher in warmer climates where this feature is more sought after. When deciding, consider both the potential resale value and the personal value you will get from using the room.
