tatro electric is your one stop shopping for all your needs

"Expect to be treated disrespectfully unless you’re a man. When Brian’s team pulled up and almost took down our electrical line with their truck, I stepped outside to kindly warn the driver. He sarcastically and rudely responded, “they’re still on your house aren’t they?” I confronted the worker about this and of course he did not apologize. When I then confronted the owner (Brian) about this and requested an apology from his worker, he defended him, accused me of being difficult, and told his crew to pack up and leave. He abandoned a 40K job because he refused to hold his staff accountable for disrespect. Avoid at all costs if you don’t want shady and disrespectful people working in your home."

Metal Fabrication and Restoration questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use a saw to cut metal pipes. The best saw to use is a reciprocating saw, but even a fine-tooth hacksaw can get the job done. No matter which saw you use to cut metal pipes, wear protective gear, like work gloves, safety goggles, and ear plugs. Apply a firm, steady pressure to the tool, and always ensure the pipes are secured so they don't move while you make the cuts.

To restore an appliance’s shine, clean the surfaces using a natural cleaning solution, and then use a mineral oil or olive oil and a soft microfiber rag to polish stainless steel surfaces in the direction of the graining. A little goes a long way, so dip the cloth in a small amount of oil. If you have any excess, continue with a dry part of the microfiber cloth to soak up any remnants.

Professional metal fabricators usually charge around $70 per hour. Three of the largest cost factors are the size and complexity of the project and the price of materials. The type of metal can impact the cost as much as the intricacy of the metal fabrication you want done. Another cost factor is your geographic location, as labor and materials can vary widely depending on the cost of living where you live.

Welders use a variety of methods in their trade. Different types of welding are better suited for different purposes and contexts. For example, stick welding is a versatile form suitable for most metals and alloys. The most common types of welding include:

  • Stick welding: $100–$1,000

  • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding: $250 and up

  • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding: $250 and up

  • Gas welding: $150 and up

  • Forge welding: $15–$25 per hour

Costs depend on size, material type, and additional features like enclosed sides or storage.
