"Andrew was quick to get here, which was very important because he replaced two thermostats and temperatures were in the single digits. I highly recommend Andrew."

"My grandparents garage had the old cloth wiring and bad layout. I wanted to have it upgraded to new and add more switches, lights, and outlets to use it as a workable garage. He came in and showed me light fixtures to get based on his knowledge and laid out where he would think things should go and belong. Couldn't be any happier to see my grandparents see the difference in the garage from what it was before. I will definitely be hiring him for other projects I have in mind. Trusting and knowledgeable enough to let him do his thing and know the end result will be there, which many contractors today lack substantially."

Small jobs welcome

"We originally spoke with Tyler regarding what we were looking for. He communicated clearly and in a timely manner. The work job consisted of numerous ceiling lights, ceiling fans installed. Recessed lighting, updated. New outlets added. A large screen TV hung on the wall. Tyler was very professional and courteous throughout the work being completed. The work area was maintained and kept clean after each job was completed. Tyler performed quality work. We will definitely be reaching out again for any electrical work in the future."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

There are many types of ceiling fans, from self-automated smart ceiling fans to outdoor ceiling fans that provide additional comfort to your patio. What you choose all comes down to function and personal taste.

Consider your ceiling height when selecting a ceiling fan. Rooms with ceilings under eight feet high will do well with low-profile ceiling fans, also known as flush-mount or hugger ceiling fans. If your home has cathedral ceilings or ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, you’ll need a large ceiling fan with a heavy-duty motor to get adequate air circulation.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.

Installing a ceiling fan where no wiring exists is a difficult and potentially dangerous job that should not be attempted as a DIY project. It is recommended to hire a certified electrician to build the necessary electrical infrastructure. In some areas, building codes require this work to be done by a professional to ensure safety and compliance. Due to the complexity, this type of installation is a significant job that could cost up to $2,000.

Fans not turning on, wobbling, noisy motors, or faulty remote controls are common issues requiring repair.

Coffered ceilings often come with additional embellishments and accessories, including tin panels, medallions, trim, molding, recessed lights, and finials. Whether you’re looking for a simple grid pattern or want an elaborate, decorative ceiling with all the bells and whistles, there are plenty of options to choose from.
