My goal for the summer was to re-point the exterior of my homes field stone foundation and to prevent water from getting into the basement by re-pointing and sealing the inside of the foundation and the bulkhead. Ben was very thorough, walking through the basement and around the perimeter twice before actually starting the job. When he arrived to start the work, he was on time and had all the materials needed. He went over the chemistry involved in selecting the appropriate mix of mortar, cement and other ingredients that would be most effective in adhering to and blending in with the 90-year old original material. Ben power washed the exterior foundation, and let it dry before working on the stone and mortar. In the interim, he worked on the interior part of the job in the basement and bulkhead. The walls look great, the thick white waterproofing paint makes the basement lighter and cleaner looking. My wife is very pleased. [That was a critical goal of the project!] The exterior foundation is completely re-done and aesthetically totally in keeping with the look and age of the home. Ben also sealed the joint of the asphalt driveway that runs along the entire side of the house. Finally, as an extra bonus, Ben power-washed my brick from steps, and they look like new!
