The bids we got from folks ranged widely, but only Ion seemed to understand what it would take and came in with a more than reasonable bid. This was no small project and took over two weeks to complete, and every step of the way Ion and his one-person crew were on the job promptly each morning and took care to consult us on every issue that came up. He also took the time to make certain we could deal with various daily tasks and even a major crisis (our water heater tank broke, flooding the basement in week two -- meaning they had to deal with heavy traffic in and around their working area at times). Despite the tumult, the progressed nicely throughout.... The restoration itself looks wonderful and enhanced the look (and certainly the value) of the property. "Our yard had become overgrown with brush, fallen branches and just a mess.  Found Mark on Angie's List, along with others who I asked to come over and bid.  While Mark was not the lowest, he had a very competitive price.  But more important was his earnest commitment to my satisfaction.  I have a very odd piece of property, sitting on two streets with lots of tough terrain and he told me he will get this yard in great shape and came across as very believable. 
I am very happy with the work that was done, I see yard that I have never seen - we moved in and it was already tough, just got worse over the years.  Mark followed up with me at the end of the day to check in and let me know his crew would be back the next day.  I had two callouts and those were taken care of that next day, along with the final picking up. 
There was a change in original date, but i still rated punctuality as 'A' since Mark informed me of change, gave specfic new date and new date was still in my desired window for completeion.  I would not hesitate to use MAS again.

"Ben has done two projects for me. In both cases, he came the day after I called to look over the job and began work within a few days. The work was to repair pillars that were repair stone pillars at the entry to a driveway and front yard gate. The pillars were quite old (1920's?) and were leaning badly. He took the pillars down to the foundations and rebuild them - as good as new. Finally, He put on new caps on the pillars. My wife didn't like them and he came back and replaced them - free of charge. Oh...and, I had some brick work in a chimney firebox that he repaired - free of charge. Hire Ben the Mason! He is a pro!"

Bob Muldoon responded to my request for the estimate, was very informative and addressed all questions. He also indicated that my city does require a permit and he would ensure that the necessary paperwork was completed and in good order (which he did).
His team were extremely efficient as they removed the prior driveway, it was evident that they work well together and within two days - I had a drive way which was sloped well, improved the apppearance and function of my home and I am confident will last another 65 years (if cared for as advised by Muldoon Paving). I was provided written instructions as to how to care for my driveway including advise to seal it after 12 months (who knew?).

"Knowledgeable, professional tradesmen arrived on time and completed the job as they said they would. We had two different types of driveway projects to complete. One involved the demolition of an existing asphalt driveway and the associated retaining wall. The crew installed a new wall, leveled and graded the driveway and paved it -- beautifully. The other project involved the grading of a gravel drive and the application of new gravel. Both jobs were completed on schedule. Luke Pyburn kept us apprised of the progress of the jobs at all times. It was a pleasure to do business with him and his team."

"Justin came out and gave us two quotes, one to repair and one to replace. He gave pros and cons of each option and we chose to replace. They arrived early with a full crew and did an exceptional job. The job involved removing a significant number of roots and a lot of regrading. We arrived home to an amazing looking driveway and a large pile of roots in the woods, The evening after the work was done Justin came by to check on our satisfaction with the work and told us to dos and don't to ensure the driveways stays in good condition.
