"Excellent service from beginning to end. I first called to request the service, I could not speak with any members, but they promptly returned my call, understood the request and made an appointment. The day of service, the technician arrived on time and explained the work to be done and eventually his findings. He was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He also gave us tips on how to better maintain the system for improved performance. Overall, excellent service. We highly recommend then and we will definitely use them again"

"After the thorough review described above, he and his colleague completed cleaning out all of the ducts with their special machinery. This process took about 90-120 minutes and seemed to be very thorough. Unfortunately the cost of the work was much higher than the $89 angle's list promotion. I was expecting it to go up a bit since we have 3 return vents, but I didn't realize that we also had 3 main vents. The service provider did show me the mold beginning to grow on either side of the filter compartment (ours had not been changed in over 18 months (should be changed every 6 months) and we had run the humidifier over the summer, these were contributing factors to the mess inside the system. I appreciated how he took the time to explain how to keep it from happening in the future and why he suggested a few additions. The recommended anti-fungal/anti-bacterial treatments seemed like a useful addition at this point even at $150. He also very kindly wrote down all of the filter numbers for the humidifier, furnace, water filtration system etc. so I could order them online myself. I would recommend this company to others - having dealt with many HVAC service people, this was the most up-front and honest experience that I have had.

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Delta HVACR Services Inc. for the installation of a Mitsubishi 3 head unit mini split system in our upstairs area. From the very beginning, the experience was nothing short of outstanding. The process started when I requested an estimate and was promptly contacted by Svetlana. She not only provided a fair and detailed estimate but also took the time to choose the perfect placement for the system. Her expertise and professionalism were evident from the start. The installation team, consisting of Fidor (Frank), Petr, Ed, and the electricians, did an amazing job. They were efficient, meticulous, and respectful of our home. The team worked diligently to install the new system, ensuring everything was set up perfectly. They even cleaned up after themselves, leaving no trace of their work except for the beautifully installed AC units. Additionally, they took the time to thoroughly explain how to operate the units, ensuring we felt confident and comfortable with our new system. Having had numerous less-than-satisfactory experiences with contractors in the past, working with Delta HVACR Services Inc. was a pleasant surprise. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone in need of HVAC services. Thank you, Delta HVACR Services Inc., for exceeding our expectations and delivering an exceptional service experience!"

"My wife and I could not be more pleased with the work of WTPI Service. Knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly staff. When you hire a contractor there is always a fear of being taken advantage of by being over charged - WTPI is NOT one of those contractors; they set a fair price and do great work. The name of the company says it all: “We Take Pride In our Service” and they certainly do!! Thank you, Norman and Cory!"
Knowing how long your existing HVAC units can last is essential to determine if you need a repair or replacement. Typically, most modern air conditioning units can last between 15 to 20 years, and most furnaces can work properly for 15 to 30 years. If your HVAC system is on the older side and you decide to replace one unit, it might make sense to replace both simultaneously to save on costs and future hassle.
While different HVAC contractors might offer higher or lower prices than competitors, the best time to replace your HVAC system is when customer demand is low. The beginning of summer and the beginning of winter bring the most demand for HVAC systems, so if you can, consider replacing your HVAC units in the early spring or fall. Many HVAC companies offer special off-season coupons that help lower the overall cost.
The average cost to hire an HVAC contractor is between $50 and $150 per hour if charging hourly. However, some HVAC contractors will charge a flat fee by the type of service they are performing—for example, an inspection can cost between $150 to $500. Keep in mind that emergency repairs—which are made after business hours or around major holidays—generally cost more than scheduled repairs.
Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed HVAC technician could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The average cost of HVAC repairs is around $350. However, that price can be as low as $100 or as high as $2,000 or more, depending on the repair. For example, replacing a capacitor is a relatively inexpensive repair, ranging from $100 to $500. However, a compressor repair is a more expensive repair, ranging from $750 to $2,000.
