We spent years limping along with a finicky old stove while we tried in vain to find someone to repair it. It was leaking gas, the oven door didn’t quite close, the pilots didn’t work, but we loved it and refused to give up on it. Then we found The Stove Lady aka Belgrove appliance. Our stove is back and it is in perfect working condition, everything is fixed and it is squeaky clean. We are delighted. Carlita is conscientious, professional, fair, and kind. Our highest recommendation.

I have just had a fantastic and wonderful experience with Belgrove Appliances. My 30+ year old countertop gas cooktop stopped working. I called my usual appliance repair person; he could not obtain parts for that long-out-of-production model: it was just too old. I thought I had to replace the cooktop, although I preferred my existing one to than any of the new ones. To my complete horror I found that the counter cutout for every cooktop made today was at least ½” bigger than my present one…and my counter was too shallow to accept a bigger cutout. It seemed that my options seemed to be (a) stop cooking, (b) replace my kitchen, or (c) move. Disaster! A friend mentioned that there was “somebody really good” who specialized in fixing “vintage appliances,” and with incredible luck (and the Internet) I found Belgrove. Carlita (The Stove Lady) made a site visit, assured me on the spot that it was entirely fixable, then sent a terrific mechanic who made my old cooktop as good as new …no muss, no fuss, and total success….in about an hour. I could not have had a better experience or outcome. They are magicians….the good kind!

Our Blue Star oven would stop working after about 20 minutes. The electricity would shut off without tripping the circuit breaker. Carlita spoke to Blue Star and they recommended a part. When that part arrived and didn't work Carlita called the company and spoke to a few different parties. Through Carlita's persistence, they eventually provided a different part which they had never mentioned before. Carlita had them provide the part, at no cost, and then installed the part, again at no cost. The oven now works! We had this problem for years and no other repair company was able to resolve it. I highly recommend Belgrove Appliance. Carlita gets personally involved and will assure that your appliance will be repaired.

The Famous Stove Lady at Belgrove Appliance is truly dedicated to her business and her customers. She overnighted me a thermostat and stayed on the phone offering technical support to me so we could have our stove working in time for Thanksgiving, she was so patient with me while dealing with her own Thanksgiving preparations. Such a great experience and we have our stove working, finally, after a decade. Thank you!

Refinishing our 40 year old Garland Stove was a big project. Although the stove functioned well, aesthetically it needed a great deal of work. We are pleased with the outcome and felt that the team at Belgrove appliances worked very hard to deliver a beautiful final product. The refurbishing was more complicated than originally thought. This significantly increased the amount of time we were without a stove and increased the cost.

Carlita and her team are exceptional! As with our service call last year, within 24 hours of contacting her by phone, she had her team on site to address burner issues on our Bluestar stove. Her team is very professional and take an abundance of videos and pictures to diagnose issues and add to their database for future potential problems. Carlita is professional, responsive and minimal-cost-solutions-oriented. Highly Recommended!! All service companies should be this good!

[*** Link removed ***] The Stove Lady -- Belgrove Appliances (Carlita is the owner) is great – superknowledgable, honest, helpful, and very reasonably priced. Gets our top recommendation. We’ve used them twice in working on our now 47 year-old Crown gas stove. Crown is long gone as a business, and most repair people aren’t familiar with the stove. Just this month Carlita repaired several problems we had, by Zooming a visit to the inside of our stove (we live 6 hours from her facility in NYC), taking us step by step through making all the adjustments needed, in efficient time and for a very reasonable charge. (This was after a local repair person, for a sizable fee, was completely flummoxed -- and impolite -- about what to do.) We had fun working with her and are delighted that our wonderful classic stove is working beautifully again. We also, 12 years ago, had this same stove refurbished by Stove Lady in their shop – beautifully repaired, cleaned, and restored to like-new condition after we had it shipped to them. Great to work with. Very professional and knowledgeable. Communicated well and often, clearly explained the work being done. The Stove Lady took on the challenge of my 1920 Electromaster stove, even though it is a brand they usually don't do. Results were great. I'm happy I trusted my antique to Carlita.

Carlita and her amazing crew picked up my antique stove and performed a thorough review of the unit and got back to me within days. We reviewed the issues and made a plan in the restoration and they had the unit ready for inspection witching a couple of weeks. I now have the stove of my dreams in a brand new kitchen. She was able to repair multiple issues with my stove, and was honest about the time and cost for the one item outside her expertise (the clock on the stove). Manufacturer of my high-end stove wanted me to wait potentially weeks to respond to a repair covered under the warranty (leaking gas valve!). Spoke with the owner, Carlita, about an emergency repair service call. Belgrove was responsive, fast and performed the repair in under one hour, not weeks. Yes I paid out of pocket, but safety first. No more leaking gas. Top notch service. I would highly recommend them. A++

I cannot stop raving about the Stove Lady and how much she is indulged our love for our owl American Crown 6 burner, two ovens, two broiler range. When I first got it the wiring was messed up and the ovens didn't light. Worse yet, the range was in California where it seemed no one knew how to make it work. No worries, the Stove Lady walked me through a rewire that I did my self. She helped me replace rusted parts with new ones, freshly restored and enameled, and, on a Sunday night, responded to a text with perfect instructions when one of my ovens failed. And she doesn't charge enough money for all this!

My 1962 Caloric stove top suddenly had a knob that would no longer turn. Stove Lady to the rescue!!!! The service was of exceptional quality. This is a business that really cares about its customers and doing the best job possible. Watching fabulous Carlita fine tune the thermostat on my oven and cleaning out years of gunk on my gas burner stove top valves proved that my beautiful appliances were in the hands of The Master. When I started to use my stove it felt like a new appliance with even flames, smooth and accurate knob control. Thank you so much!
