I arranged for the Red Carpet Company to clean my air ducts after reading the reviews on Angie's List. I called the company on the morning scheduled to narrow down the time frame and was given a more precise time. The Service tech arrived within that time. He (Steve) was very courteous and professional. He explained every step of the process in detail to my satisfaction. He was there for over three hours and when the job was complete I felt very satisfied. I believe the job had been thorough and I had gotten my money's worth from this service. I would definitely use the Red Carpet Company again. Steve M

- True Clean CarpetThe young man showed up a half hour early and began work right away. He cleaned the vents first and from what I could tell did a good job -- you can smell a difference! He then cleaned the carpets. Although he did a good job, I was disappointed that he was not able to get out the pet stains that caused me to have the carpets cleaned in the first place. He did offer to stop after the first carpet since he was not able to get the stains out, but I had him go ahead and clean them the best he could
- Richmond RestorationWe have a system with blowers in the attic and in the basement with multiple zones and vents. Richmond cut holes in the ducts in order to get access to all areas and they resealed them when finished. They tell me that these holes will now be used for future cleanings. Although we have had no problems with their approach, I wish they had explained that they would be doing this before they started. They also offered and applied an optional sanitizer for $175. In hindsight, we probably didn't need this, but it sounded good at the time. We have a large dog who sheds a lot and had just completed a major renovation with a lot of plasterwork and hardwood floor sanding. So the ducts were no doubt dirty. Since they cleaned the ducts, I don't have to clean/dust as much. One issue: they did not clean up the debris in the basement that was left from making the holes in the ducts
- SuperiorAir Duct CleaningThey cleaned the supply and return vents but did nit touch the duct work. No access panels were cut into duct work so they could not have cleaned them. We wanted them cleaned because of some construction we had done in the kitchen, and had white sheet rock dust in the ducts. Several days after they left the white dust was still coming out. I replaced the air filter in the furnace and waited a few more days. The dust continued to come out. I called to let them know, at which time he asked me to take a photo of the ducts, which I did and sent to them. Still have not heard back and I had to employ another company to do the job right. The new company cut access panels in the supply and return lines and showed me all the dirt and white powder that was still in there. Do not hire this company under any circumstances, they are inept and an out an out cheat
- ARS / Rescue Rooter BostonSalesman had no intention of giving a written quote for the system I inquired about. 5 minutes after he walked in he threw out an outrageous verbal quote on the Mitsubishi system without knowing any particulars such as: insulation type, head placements, condenser placements or living habits. This was done, in my opinion, to drive me into the system he wanted to sell (Lennox ducted system). When I persisted he got angry and I asked him to leave. When he still insisted on the Lennox system and refused to leave I escorted him to the door. When he continued to push the Lennox system I closed the door on him in the middle of his sales spiel

"It was good. We did it through our energy efficiency program of our state. A lot of utility companies give rebates if you put in a more efficient project. They were one of the recommended contractors. They had their salesperson come out first and go over some different models. Originally we were looking at a different product, but they sold us a product that was less expensive, but had the same warranty. I appreciated that they made a recommendation on a way to save us money. They did that on a couple of things. We were considering A/C they said our house wouldn't really be great for it based on the problem we were trying to solve. They were very good from that perspective. The install was great. We had another furnace that they had to get out and they did it well.

"Overall it went pretty well.
<br /> The guys showed up a bit late and arrived with 2 fewer guys than originally indicated. When the foreman saw the job he was concerned that he needed the two other guys and whether they would be able to complete the job the same day.
<br /> My unit is on top of the space with asbestos but they assured me that there was no risk and that they would seal the ceiling.
<br /> By 12:30, they finished the job which seemed exceptionally fast and left me slightly concerned that they hadn't sealed everything completely during the removal.
<br /> During the process, they also accidentally broke the clamp holding the ground wire down to the water meter but luckily I noticed it the following day.
<br /> Finally, they forgot to remove all the protective elements as there was still a piece of plastic covering the window that they had put, which again left me concerned about their thoroughness.
<br /> Still they did a quick job and for a good price and the air quality test they performed shows that the area was safe.
<br /> They are often difficult to communicate with - full voice mail - no email reply - but they got the job done and now the building is asbestos free.

"After Healthy Homes did such a great job on my rental apartment, decided to see if they could help me with the cigarette smell in my car. Was sold a small handheld fog machine and some Un-Odor product. Fogged the entire interior of my vehicle, sprayed the product on all surfaces.
