"I've worked with many house cleaners in the past and Juliana is the best BY FAR. Juliana and her team clean my home on a bi-weekly basis and their work is impeccable. They're hard-working, focused, detail-oriented, thorough and my home is consistently sparkling clean when they're done. Not only does Juliana do terrific work, she's dependable, personable and patient with my 2 dogs, including one who always wants to 'help' her. The cost is reasonable too. I highly recommend Juliana. Give her a try - you'll be glad you did!"

"I highly recommend Simone and the entire Venuto's Green Services team for any cleaning job. They spent a morning in my home, which hadn't been professionally cleaned for 5 years, and left it spotless. I've never seen my copper kitchen sink shining so brightly or my bathroom tub sparkle quite like this. The team was very professional and thorough and (important to me) friendly and communicative. Already recommending to neighbors and friends!"

"The employees that answered the phone were very helpful and professional. Jennifer went through each and every task to get a customized list of services to be performed and gave me a quote of $30 per hour. She guessed it would take between 4 and 5 hours to complete our house (assuming one person). We scheduled our visit for the coming Thursday. My husband was home when they came to clean. A mother came with her 16 year-old daughter (who was working for the summer). They neglected to do any of the hardwood floors (which account for 80% of the square footage downstairs). When my husband reminded them, they didn't have a mop. They didn't bother to sweep before mopping, so just pushed the dirt around with the mop. Our guest bedroom wasn't dusted and they didn't vacuum one of the rooms on the main floor. They also reported having been at our house for 3 hours when they were there less than 2.5 hours. The staff was very apologetic and gave us a 20% discount, which we appreciated."

Drapery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Window treatments fall under the categories of hard, soft, and layered. Hard refers to stiff, formed treatments that include window blinds and shutters. Soft refers to cloth window treatments that include drapes and curtains. Finally, layered refers to the combination of soft and hard treatments. For example, you might place flowing drapes over blinds to combine the practicality of a treatment that blocks the sun with the whimsical and elongating aesthetic of a full-window drape.

Most cleaning services take 2-5 days, allowing for thorough dry cleaning, steaming, or hand washing as needed.

Vacuum regularly, spot-clean stains, and follow care instructions for specific fabrics to maintain their appearance.

You can clean curtains without washing them by vacuuming them and then steam cleaning or having them dry cleaned. When vacuuming, use a soft brush attachment if you’re working with a heartier material, like cotton or polyester. You can spot-treat stains with a stain remover after vacuuming, and then use a steam cleaner to clean the curtains from top to bottom. You can also bring them to a dry cleaner to have odors, dirt, stains, and allergens removed without washing them.

Regarding UV protection for furniture, synthetic fabrics like polyester and acrylic are some of the best choices. They have inherent UV-blocking properties and can withstand prolonged sun exposure better than natural fabrics like cotton or silk. Additionally, outdoor-specific fabrics for patio furniture often include UV-resistant treatments to enhance sun protection. Fabrics like these have become softer and more comfortable, making them suitable for interior spaces like sunrooms and other spaces brimming with natural light.
