"Huge thank you to Abalia Construction! Khaled, the general contractor/owner made our home renovation dreams come true! Seriously, this guy went above and beyond. We had this huge house project on our hands and a short timeline to get everything done. But Khaled? He's like a magician. Somehow, he managed to keep us on track, while also balancing our vision and our budget! I'm talking about creative solutions that we never would've thought of ourselves. And the best part? He made it all happen without sacrificing quality. Our home looks absolutely stunning now, thanks to Abalia Construction. Honestly, if you're thinking about any kind of construction or renovation work, do yourself a favor and use Abalia. Khaled is the real deal and will turn your vision into reality, no doubt about it. Highly recommend!"

"Tim from Timâ s aquascape was so knowledgeable and respectful. I was a little taken aback when him and his employees showed up because I was not expecting them to be so young. But let me tell you donâ t let that fool you. I was so incredibly impressed with how hard they worked. They stayed each day for 10 hours! I could not believe the dedication and perfectionism that went into the custom koi pond they built for us. Since completing our project Tim even followed up with us and we have since signed up for him to do our bi-weekly maintenance to help keep our pond as beautiful as the day they finished it."

"Michael went out of his way to help and find solutions for our problems. He was super flexible and patient, and had lots of knowledge to share about the job. Our communication back and forth was very helpful. The team was awesome, cleaned up everything afterwards, and were very easy to have in the house. Would recommend!"

"These guys are awesome. Brett, Jon, Brandon, and the guys built our amazing deck. In the process, they discovered significant rot damage to the sill area, and communicated this to me, and fixed it such that it was completely new, and used materials that will prevent it from happening again. I was away, and they were able to send photos and explain what had to be done! The results are that we got exactly what we wanted and more. They added a turn to the privacy wall that I hadnâ t thought of, which made a big difference in functionality and appearance, and added a bar shelf also. Brett even rerouted the cable to our spa so that it is hidden under the patio bricks. You would never know itâ s there. Added at no charge. The workmanship and material quality have no match. Level of detail is amazing. They even grain matched the screw hole plugs. I was asked to provide a detailed punch list, which were very minor details, and these were fixed within a couple of days with perfection. All work was done on time, with great and instant communication. No waiting for days to hear from them. After work was completed, the cleanup was such that you would never know they had been there, except of course the beautiful new deck! I canâ t thank JWC for the great experience. Any future work at my home will be done by these guys!"

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Pond installation costs typically range from $1,500 to $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the pond's size, the materials used, excavation requirements, and any additional features such as waterfalls, lighting, or specialized habitats for fish like koi.

The average pond maintenance cost is $2,000. But how much you pay to take care of your pond depends on multiple factors, such as the size of the pond and whether fish live in it. Your area's climate also affects the overall maintenance cost, as you may need to winterize your pond to protect it and any aquatic life in it during the colder months.

In addition to length and width, pond liners also come in various thickness levels. Thickness is measured in mils, a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch, with most pond liners ranging from 15 to 60 mils in thickness. The smaller the number, the thinner (and weaker) the liner. To prevent rips and tears, it’s best to choose a pond liner that’s at least 30 mils thick.

DIY kits exist, but professional installation ensures proper filtration, landscaping, and leak-proof construction.

A koi pond should be at least 5 feet deep to keep the fish healthy and ensure they don’t freeze in winter. Koi fish are also known for growing large, so the more room you have, the better. A larger koi pond size will allow the fish to grow bigger than a smaller one will, and the more fish you have, the bigger the pond you’ll need. Learn how to build a pond in your backyard to ensure it remains functional and aesthetically pleasing for a long time.
