"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently hired Everlast RoadTech to pave my 20x55 gravel driveway, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with their work. From the first consultation to the final layer of asphalt, their team was professional, punctual, and incredibly efficient. They provided a clear breakdown of the process, addressed all my questions patiently, and even helped me explore sustainable material options, which I appreciated. The crew showed up on time, worked seamlessly, and completed the job ahead of schedule. The end result? A smooth, durable surface that looks fantastic and already stands up to New England weather. Customer service was top-notch, and I’d absolutely hire them again for future projects. If you're looking for reliable, detail-oriented paving experts, Everlast RoadTech delivers."

"Alex was the second estimate I received. He came over, checked out the area and promised a free estimate via email that evening. True to his promise, he emailed me a very fair estimate, I called him and accepted his proposal. I asked him regarding payment and he said to pay him when the job was done. He showed up on Monday, three days after the visit. He and his young helper started right in. Because heavy rains were expected they covered the area up tight. The next morning they began laying the pavers. I told him I needed to go to the grocery store and would be back in approx an hour. Upon my return I was amazed that they had the patio completely paved and were working on the finishing touches. This man is an excellent mason and very courteous to work with. I would highly recommend An Masonry for any of your masonry projects without a doubt."

Installing a walkway to your home can add value, as it can make your landscaping look more intentionally designed and boost your overall curb appeal. In addition, walkways can be installed with accessibility in mind, which can be helpful for those with mobility issues or who need a wheelchair.

Chip seal layers gravel and a liquid bitumen one at a time on-site, while asphalt directly pours a pre-combined mixture. Asphalt must be sealed, but it will last up to four times as long as chip seal driveways. Aesthetically, chip seal has a natural, rustic look compared to the traditional asphalt slab.

Many asphalt companies have experience with tar and chip paving, but not all. The process is unique enough—and not incredibly common enough—that you may have to look around for a tar and chip specialist. However, speaking with a driveway company is a great place to start, especially if they have experience with multiple materials.

Yes, it is possible to pave over an existing driveway, but whether it's the right choice depends on several factors. If the underlying structure of your current driveway is still strong, concrete or asphalt resurfacing can be a cost-effective way to prolong its life. However, if your driveway has significant issues like potholes, deep cracks, or other inconsistencies, it is best to remove the old driveway and start from scratch. Key factors to consider include the current driveway's condition, the compatibility of the new material, the added thickness and height, and the necessary surface preparation.

While blacktop is a type of asphalt, the terms should not be used interchangeably, as not all asphalt qualifies as blacktop. The primary differences are in their composition, production process, and ideal applications. Blacktop contains more stone than other types of asphalt and is heated to a higher temperature during production—300°F or more—while hot-mix asphalt is heated to between 275°F and 300°F. The ratio of bitumen (a tar-like crude oil) is a key differentiator, though sources vary: some state blacktop has less bitumen, making it less durable, while others claim it has a higher ratio. Due to these differences, asphalt is generally more durable and better for high-traffic areas like highways and streets, while blacktop is more suitable for playgrounds and residential driveways. For a driveway project, it is best to consult a professional to determine the most appropriate material.
