"Signed contract on May 8 for deck build.On May 12 rep came to my office to collect deposit of apprx $13,000. He said project team meeting on Wed & would update me then on start date etc. On Fri May 16 I had to reach out to him. He wrote the team had met & materials were ordered. An hour later he wrote back that he was misinformed & that his boss was going to call me next week. Despite this, dep check cashed. On Mon 5. 20 rep wrote back that they had forgotten certain costs & to proceed it would be $8,000 more. Not a typo. $8,000 more. No apology. Ridiculous, contract rescinded. I wrote that he could return my deposit at my office just as he had collected it. On Wednesday the 21st I got a text from "Tom," presumably the owner/boss, saying he would "drop a check in the mail" to my address. Today is May 30th, Friday, and still no check. Check at a minimum should have been overnighted. They owe me interest not to mention the deposit to hire a contractor who will honor contract. Bad."

Alex showed up on time for our initial meeting, scoped the job and provided a price on the spot. He followed up that evening with a written quote sent via email and I accepted the proposal. Alex indicated it would be 3 weeks before he could start - but he was able to start in 2. When I asked about a deposit, he said he would require one AFTER the materials were received. He called 1 week in advance before materials arrived, and was at my home when they arrived to make sure they were in the right spot. He said the job would take a week - it took a week. Every time there was a question during the work, he would stop and ask. No only am I really pleased with the quality of his work, the customer service received was exceptional. "It was a horrible experience, they put on the three screen doors, one which was put on backwards and two do not fit the frame of the doors with broken pieces underneath the screen. Both ceiling jobs turned out like crap, cabinets were adjusted but went back to being loose a couple days later. Our daughter s door was installed ok, the pieces of wood to make the frame or not even sanded down before painted. The door gets stuck now because of improper measurements."

Attached are photos- I was gaslighted stating that I was ?impossible to please? and would ?never be happy?- judge the work for yourself! Project was over $40,000 and this is what they found acceptable! If you still choose them (?) then make sure an attorney reads anything you sign as every minuscule detail must be written or they will not take any responsibility! And read financing terms very carefully as they scroll through the contract speaking but the content does NOT match what they spew! Then the threats start demanding approval for the terrible, incomplete job. You?ll be ignored and ghosted once they get their money after placing in writing the modifications that will (not) occur!"
