"All the work was done in a timely manner. When we had issues with one of the windows and one of the screens it was repaired or replaced in a timely manner. The only criticism we have is that the workmen failed to cleaning up properly after the job was done. The old windows broke when being taken out and there was broken glass left on the ground under the window. Overall, the people were all very nice and easy to work with."

"They arrived on time,  were professional and answered a lot of question.  It took about three hours and two people came to do this.  They left the area mostly clean.  They did leave some stickers on the windows that I had to pull off.  I would tell friends and family that they should research the price on windows to make sure they are not over paying."

"o  Dave gave a thorough inspection of the roof both inside and out plus answered all questions
o  We took care to match the shingle color to other parts of the house using samples he provided
o  Before leaving the inspection he gave me the estimate with a typed sheet of what would be used and installed
o  I had more questions weeks later and all it took was a phone call
o  I needed the work to be done between two dates and he met the request.  It was a huge relief
o  It took 2 days to finish which was great.  They began around 8 AM and finished around 5 PM
o His crew, James and Kevin, were cordial, polite and worked quickly and with respect for the property
The bullets above are a bit formal.  What you need to know is that this job came off on time, resonably priced and now I have a great and solid roof without any concerns.  Oh definitely call Dave, I would be shocked if you did not get the same result

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can resilver old mirrors without any issues, and in many cases, it’s is the only way to maintain and preserve old, antique mirrors. Resilvering involves stripping the old silver off of the mirror, replacing the silver, and adding a protective backing to the glass. The process costs around $15 per square foot of glass, making it a relatively inexpensive solution for making older mirrors functional again. You can buy a DIY resilvering kit, but we strongly recommend hiring a professional to avoid additional damage and mistakes.

Black spots on the bottom or along the edge of your bathroom mirror are caused by oxidation behind the mirror glass. When moisture and air are trapped between the glass and the backing, they react and cause discoloration. This is sometimes referred to as “mirror rot.” You’ll need to separate the glass and the backing to fully remove it.

There’s no exact formula to calculate the cost of your mirror, but a few guidelines will help you estimate the price tag you can expect. The bigger the mirror, the higher the cost—and the same goes for thickness. Customizations will largely depend on the labor required, so think about how long your design will take and multiply that by your contractor’s hourly rate.

Yes, you can hire someone to hang a mirror in your home if you’re unable to tackle the job yourself. You can search for nearby mirror installers, but often, your best bet is a local handyperson. If you’re having other work done in the same room, such as plumbing, drywall, or electrical, those contractors are likely able to help hang the mirror as well—no need to hire someone else.

Glass tile can cost as much as or more than other durable tile types. When choosing the right tile for you, knowing the advantages and disadvantages of each can help you make an informed decision. The pros and cons of glass tile include:

Pros

  • Light-reflecting to add brightness

  • Waterproof and mold-resistant

  • Made from recyclable materials

Cons

  • High cost compared to similar and more durable materials

  • Usually requires professional installation

  • More easily scratched compared to materials like ceramic and porcelain
