Don's Plumbing is owned and operated by Donald Barcomb. Don is fully licensed and insured. MA Lic. # 31800.

"Horrible. And they will dispute this saying they never did the work. My business would have been open 4 months sooner if it wasn't for these guys. Sent a meth dealer to do the plumbing and was dealing out of the back of the truck. The other guy only showed up one day a week, got minimal done, got high on the job site, and passed out. You'll end up billed for the hours. All on camera. Moved the toilet to right in front of the door so you couldn't use the toilet and close the door. Cost me $7000 to move it back because of the shoddy work. Has no understanding of things that can actually be done. It's going to cost me at least another $10,000 to finish the simple work they refused to. So many leaks also had to be repaired by someone else, totaling $2500 so far. Found chunks of concrete on top of my refridgerator, repairs coming to $3652. They will also not show up for the sppointed times when the plumbing inspector is going to show up, which is going to delay everything."

"You wrote a review for Osterman Propane A moment ago 1.0 star rating4/6/2021 Upon receiving a statement I realized a payment I put in the mail immediately upon receiving a delivery from Osterman got lost in the mail. Thus I wrote another check emailing and enclosing a copy that informed Osterman of both check numbers and instructed them to only cash one of the checks. Osterman cashed the second check on 2/23 and then cashed the lost check soon there after (3/3). I immediately contacted Osterman, regarding the errors. My initial communications were ignored. I had to call due to emails going unanswered. I was put in touch with the Plainfield office. Samantha said she would put in the necessary paperwork to get the refund sent to me. After communications with the sales manager, Stacey, and now again today with Samantha, I was told it takes three to 4 weeks for processing. She said the check was cut on 3/26. That was 10 days ago. It has been over 1 month since I contacted Osterman about the double payment. Today I told Samantha that on my next delivery I will need 3 - 4 weeks to process my next payment and asked if Osterman would be okay with this. She said she was sorry but she does not make these internal decisions. I asked to speak to that individual. I was hung up on. $659.53 has been in their pocket and not mine since March 3rd. Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

A few factors determine the amount of time it takes to convert from an oil to a gas furnace, mainly adding in the gas lines, updating your appliances, removing the old oil system, and installing a chimney line. These projects can vary, but you should expect them to take at least two or three days to complete.

No, homeowners should never attempt to fix a gas leak themselves. Gas leaks pose serious health and fire hazards. Exposure to leaking gas can make you sick, and accumulated gas can ignite and explode. So always take leaks seriously and seek the help of a pro right away. While you may be able to detect a gas leak, always call a licensed professional to handle repairs and replacements.

Any gas pipe can leak, especially if it’s old or isn’t properly maintained. However, even with a shovel, plastic pipes are more easily damaged by impact. That’s why it’s so important to have gas lines marked by the utility company before you begin digging for any reason. Some metal pipes, like black pipes, galvanized steel, and copper, aren’t as easily damaged by impact but can degrade over the years, leading to leaks.

Yes, it can be worth installing a gas fireplace, depending on your home heating needs. The cost to install a gas fireplace can be much lower than the cost to install a comparable wood-burning fireplace. The convenience of starting a fire with the flip of a switch and turning it off just as quickly makes a gas fireplace a big time saver over starting and maintaining a wood-fueled fire. A gas fireplace also does not require ash cleanup or frequent chimney cleaning to remove creosote and other buildup that can lead to chimney fires. Gas fireplaces burn and heat much more cleanly than wood fireplaces.

Having gas appliances in your home can be convenient—you benefit from faster water heating, more efficient clothes drying, and more affordable home heating. However, you need to be aware of the signs of a gas leak so that you and your family can take precautions to be safe around these versatile appliances.

Signs of a gas leak include:

  • Hissing sounds

  • Rotten egg smell

  • Higher than usual gas usage

  • Physical symptoms, such as headaches, dizziness, and nausea
