Additional service areas - Norwood Brockton, Lynn Beverly, Concord Maynard, & Chelmsford Haverhill & portions of Ashland Norfolk, Boxford Gloucester, Cohasset Plymouth & Fitchburg Leominster. Award winning. Additional contact name - Lauren Greenhow.

"GreenHow is an excellent company - their servicepeople are knowledgable and thorough, follow up when they say they will, and go out of their way to make sure you are happy with their work. The back office team is also very attentive and professional. We had our property inspected when we moved in and were pleased enough with GreenHow's work that we contracted them to perform ongoing inspections every couple months. They have been great and we are quite happy!"

We are a full service licensed home inspection company in Massachusetts we have been in business since 1996. Owner operated, no subcontractors. Mass. Home inspectors license #153, Certified ASHI member # 2552071(American Society of Home Inspectors) certified/licensed Massachusetts pest inspector WDI registry certified. Fees quoted are based on multi factors, including property size, age and type of property. Email [email protected]

"Set up an appointment for an initial 10 minute phone call to talk about what we wanted. Tom ended up spending 25 minutes with us and answered a ton of questions. We subsequently set up an appointment for an initial pre-build inspection of the foundation, framing, roof, and windows. Tom was very thorough. He obviously knew his stuff. Pointed out several items that needed addressing before the insulation and walls went up. Couldn’t be happier with the amount of time he spent, how thorough he was and how much he listened to all my stupid questions and answered them in a language that I could understand. We will have him back before the next phase starts and probably a couple more times before we close. Anyone building a house or buying a new home would be wise to hire Tom. Great piece of mind and cheap insurance. Plus, he’s a really nice guy to boot."

We provide fast and free estimates, inspections and advice. Give us a call today, we're ready for anything! Additional email [email protected]

"They did a thorough check of the basement and set several traps. They were very clear communicating what to expect. They came back the next week and sealed up several openings in the foundation area. They have guaranteed that if the problem recurs they will return for more treatment. So far we seem to be mouse free. Very professional."

JP Pest Services has been providing pest management solutions for New England homes and businesses since 1925. We’ve learned a lot about our Northeast customer base over the past 9 decades like what they expect from the effectiveness of our services to what they need from our Customer Service Representatives and Service Professionals in the field.

"Joel their sales rep assured us our apartments would be rotated so the inside of each unit was checked at least every six months. Got the bait and switch bc they never did this and we had a cockroach infestation that went on for a year. They lied to me and then their manager claimed “we don’t see it in the contract”. I want a refund. You’ve been doing nothing productive. I can lay my own ant traps for less than $2k a year."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Brown recluse spiders are most active at night. As the name “recluse” suggests, they prefer the dark, which is when they hunt small insects and other spiders. Regarding the time of year, brown recluses are more likely to be seen during warmer months, typically between March and October.

No, leaving the lights on will not effectively keep roaches away. While roaches are nocturnal and prefer darkness, they don’t avoid lit areas entirely, especially if there’s access to food, water, or shelter. In some cases, roaches may even adapt to light if it means survival, and this becomes even easier if there is clutter and other potential hiding spots available. Instead of relying on lights, focus on eliminating food crumbs, sealing entry points, and reducing clutter and moisture to make your home less inviting to roaches.

Possums don’t typically pose a danger to humans—they prefer to stay out of sight. If they feel threatened, they play dead instead of engaging. However, they can become aggressive when cornered, typically when they become trapped inside your home or when a dog chases them. When this happens, it’s best to call a wildlife control service near you to remove possums safely.

Termites, carpenter ants, and wood-boring beetles can move from wood furniture to other areas of your home. If you notice signs of bugs in wood furniture, it's best to remove and isolate it for treatment. Remember that it can be difficult to identify which type of pest you are dealing with, and they can already be in areas of your home.

If DIY methods don’t work or you don’t know which pest it is you should contact an exterminator if you are showing signs of wood-eating pests to prevent further damage.

Earwigs may look scary with their pincers, but they don’t pose a serious threat. They don’t sting, and bites are rare. They might pinch if handled roughly, but it's more of a nuisance than a danger. They’re not known to transmit disease, but you should still alert a pest control pro if you have a large infestation inside your home.
