He is thorough in preparing his bid, and his crew boss, Mike Nadeau, is outstanding in his follow-through. As in any large job there are unexpected surprises. But they were handled with flexibility and keen attention to detail. Dale and Mike has many good suggestions for dealing with unexpected things that came up. They wanted it to be top-quality in every way. Our house was a triple-decker in downtown Northampton – a rental unit that we were turning into condos. The original dark cedar shakes has exceeded their expected life span, but we loved how they looked. The vinyl is now white, and the place looks like a million bucks and is all bright and shiny. Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.

We don’t recommend hiring a stucco pro to apply this feature when the temperatures are below freezing, so it’s best to avoid applying stucco siding to your home during the winter. However, it’s safe to apply in hot and colder temperatures, so any other time of year is suitable. The spring and summer are the busiest times of year for stucco siding professionals, so you could save money by doing the work in the off-season: the late fall.
