We usually do all of our hedge abs shrub trimming ourselves, but with a few other projects going on we hadn’t gotten them all season long and they were seriously overgrown. Since we COULD do it ourselves, we had a limit on what we were willing to pay, so we were getting several quotes … most of which were higher than we had hoped. Roberto worked with us on the pricing, which was good news because now it was off of our plate! His crew was there the early next day … fast, friendly, courteous, conscientious and neat! We are now looking to have Roberto and his crew back to take a few more projects off of our plate too! "I am a regular customer of this company. The do my spring cleanup, fall cleanup, trim, mulching, and lawn maintenance. I am always amazed at how great the yard looks after they are done. They keep the edges sharp and provide the little extras that other companies do not. They show up on time, are professional and thorough. "I can't speak highly enough of Rick and his crew! I had hired someone who botched the job and I had to fire half way through. He came in showed me how to remove the old tile to save some money and can in and was done in a day with the floor! It looks amazing. He then installed glass tile, accent tile and shelves in the bath tub walls. When he came back to grout he noticed the electrician I had hired cracked 2 of my brand new tiles!!!! Floor was only down for 3 days and already someone had cracked them! Rich replaced them for me for free!!! He stayed and helped me out because that is the kind of nice guy he is!! He saved my butt and project not once but twice!! It's hard to find honest hardworking caring people but if that's what your looking for you found him I can't speak highly enough of him and his assistant Craig!"

"After several attempts to just hire Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction (during a bid process), I finally did. The rates seemed comparable, at first. However, there were many projects to be completed at my deceased mother's house. Because I am disabled and not able to get to the property, I couldn't see how badly I was taken advantage of. Not only did I pay for a job they did not do, I also paid for another job that is unfinished, plus a french drain that is causing a sink hole, and the buried equipment is now above ground. All 3 of these projects pose safety risks. The french drain collapse is only a few months after installation. After bringing these issues to the owners attention (the unfinished project I'd requested be completed for months), the owner began ignoring me. When I mentioned that litigation was going to move forward, the owner said he'd look at the work that week then blew me off again. When they actually do work, Golden Hill's quality of work is atrocious and will need to be fixed. They broke the house vinyl siding when cutting down a tree branch and refused to fix it. I hired a contractor to fix that. They will overcharge (snowplowing is expensive), take advantage of you if you are a senior or disabled, and will try to get paid without working. They should not be in business and allowed to take advantage. I now have to pay someone else to fix their work, finish their work, and do a $375 job they never did. They've been paid over $10,000, with more work to be done at multiple properties. They agreed to do a quote at a second property, then never showed up. One would figure, with that kind if business, a company would want to perform quality work and respond to a dedicated customer. Aroldo at Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction will do a poor job or not at all, blow off appointments, ignore requests, and refuse to fix problems. He will, however, not hesitate to pick up a check. You should not ever hire them. If you do, be prepared to throw money away."

"I wanted to create a more inviting backyard but wasn’t able to do it on my own. Leisha understood what I was looking for and created an outdoor space that was better than I could even imagine. My patio is now surrounded by a gorgeous perennial garden, lattice and thuja combined provide a buffer from our busy street, and new hardscape has been added to move the grill out of the traffic area. Leisha had so many wonderful ideas that we ended up implementing. The people who worked on our yard were meticulous and hard working save for one subcontractor. Leisha let him go and made up for his errors out of her own pocket. We couldn’t be happier with our new outdoor space."

Nick and Mike were professional, punctual, and paid great attention to detail throughout the project. The stepping stones were placed evenly and with care, blending perfectly into the landscape. The pavers now look clean, level, and well-aligned, greatly improving the look and safety of the area. The rebuilt stairs are sturdy and beautifully finished, making the walk to the pool much more enjoyable.
