"Had Henry remove a 12-15 inch thick 5x5 slab of concrete that needed to be removed. He showed up very quickly and knocked it out in a few hours with cleanup and haul away. Very professional and keeps you updated the whole time. Highly recommend."

"Our basement water issue was getting to a point that, with a shop vac, I could hardly keep up. Water was leaking from the wall to floor seams and up through cracks in the floor. I needed help and I needed it quick. After doing some research, we gave Advanced Seamless Gutters a call. One aspect of this company is a basement waterproofing section of the business, which is rated highly. Within a day, the owner, Konstantin (Koni) paid us a visit and evaluated our problem. He was very thorough in what needed to be done, he answered all my questions and concerns. After the professional proposal was offered, we hired his company on the spot. Two days later his crew of four came prepared to do this rather extensive work. Before work began, all items in the basement were moved to the center and covered with plastic. We were impressed with the level of progress and quality of work being done during the four day project. This is a friendly and dedicated group of knowledgeable, skilled hard workers, which was apparent on the very first day and throughout. It is refreshing to see a company that has employees with a high dedication and commitment to this type of specialized work. The result: Complete customer satisfaction. Thank you."

"Stephen answered the phone directly when I called to make an appointment.  He said that he was available to come out that afternoon, if this was convenient..  I agreed, since we were home anyway because of power outages at work.  Stephen arrived as anticipated and spent a few minutes looking at the shed and its contents.  I also showed him an old exercize bicycle in the garage that I wanted removed.  He stated that he would e-mail me an exact estimate within a day or two, but anticipated the cost to be in the range of $800-$900.  I was somewhat taken aback by the amount since I had been quoted several hundred dollars less than this by the company I was planning to buy a new shed from.  I indicated to him that I would probably use this other company.  He said that he could take the exercize bicycle when he left, and proceeded to carry it out the garage and lift it into his truck.  He refused to accept payment or a even a tip for this.  The bike had been taking up badly needed space in our garage  for years, and for us it was extremely heavy (he hoisted it up with seemingly minimal effort...).  It may have been a small thing for him to do, but I was really appreciative.    If I need to hire anyone to haul away items in the future I plan on calling  Stephen."

"Amazingly well. The garage has a low ceiling, so Lou and son had to dig out the old asphalt by hand. An enormous amount of work, and then they had to remove 12" of solid concrete that was dumped outside the garage and which would interfere with the new floor. Every part of the project was explained in detail, and Lou did a top quality job. I really appreciate a job well done, and I nobody does a job as well as Lou. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. If you need a job done right, at a very reasonable price, call Lou!"

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

While certain kits make DIY possible, professionals ensure durability and quality of finish, which is vital for high-moisture areas like baths.

No, wet concrete will not bond to dry concrete without an additional bonding agent. The common alternative is adding a sand or gravel layer under a concrete slab to enhance bonding and create a stable foundation. The right choice depends on the height and thickness of your two slabs, local laws, and the use of the specific concrete slab.

For thin driveway cracks that aren’t widening or lengthening, a polyurethane crack filler is usually the best way to seal the crack and prevent further damage from water and ice. If you have cracks that are more than ⅛-inch wide or driveway cracks that continue to grow, you should call in a professional driveway repair company to fix underlying problems—like insufficient support from the soil underneath—before filling in the cracks. An epoxy sealant is a better option for wider cracks after the surface is leveled and the underlying problem is fixed.

No, hairline cracks in concrete are generally not a problem as they do not impact the strength and longevity of the concrete. Generally, cracks less than 0.3 millimeter wide don’t impact the structure. Hairline cracks can grow over time and weaken the structure, such as in a home foundation. Some hairline cracks can also cause leaks in a foundation. It’s important to watch the cracks to see if they grow. Contact a concrete contractor if you notice cracks exceeding 0.3 millimeter wide.

The average cost to repair a concrete driveway ranges from approximately $830 to $2,800, with a typical project costing around $1,765. The price varies widely depending on the type and extent of the damage. Minor crack repairs can be as low as $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot and may be a DIY project. More significant repairs are priced per square foot: replacing a damaged slab costs about $6 to $14, while raising or leveling sunken concrete costs $3 to $25. Resurfacing is another option, costing around $3 to $5 per square foot. Factors influencing the total price include the size of the affected area, whether reinforcement is needed, and labor costs.
