"Patrick, the owner of Limelight Landscaping, is a true professional with years of experience here on Cape Cod. He and his team are extremely pleasant, reliable, hardworking and always on time. We hired Limelight three years ago and have been more than pleased with the service he and his team provide. More importantly, we have observed Patrick and his team - many of which are family members - to be consistently pleasant and respectful when they are working at our home. They are an absolute delight to have working on our property. I highly recommend them for any Garden and Landscaping Services, as well as Hardscaping-Patio and Walkway Design & Installation. He and his team build the most beautiful border wall along the entire property, as well as an exquisite stone patio and fire pit. FIVE STARS! GREAT LOCAL BUSINESS AND OUTSTANDING TEAM! "Cameron replied very quickly to my request for a quote (he emailed me the morning following my request). He was quite flexible with regards to meeting me as I work Mondays through Friday. We set up a date for late Thursday. Wednesday he emailed me and stated he could come by that night if it was convenient for me, which it was. When we met he quoted me a price which was acceptable to me. Then he went right to work mowing my field. As a note, my field (which was quite large) had not been attended to for 2 years and the grass in most of the areas appeared to be at least 12 inches high. Even though it started to rain he continued mowing and was done in an hour. My field looks great. Cameron was very pleasant. If I need additional mowings during the summer I plan on getting in touch with him again. And I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other people."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

It’s best to pull weeds when the soil is wet, as it’s much easier. Wet soil is much softer than dry soil, making it easier to pull the entire weed up by the root. Also, since the soil is wet, the roots will let go of the soil and slide up with less resistance. Be careful when working on your wet garden, though, as wet soil is easier to compact, which can harm your plants.

Johnsongrass and crabgrass are invasive weeds that can overtake your lawn. Crabgrass is a low-growing grass most often seen in lawns, flower beds, and vegetable gardens. While you may find Johnsongrass growing in your lawn, it will also grow in pastures, crop fields, and the edge of the road. Johnsongrass is much coarser than crabgrass. If left alone, Johnsongrass can grow up to 8 feet tall.

Yes, dandelions are considered perennial, broadleaf weeds.

There are tools known as “sprinkler donuts” that are specially designed to aid in cutting the grass around your sprinkler heads by protecting them from your mower or weed whacker. You can also use a pair of hand shears to do the job manually if you’re willing to get a little dirty.

Each season’s climate influences approaches needed for effective suppression.
