"Andrew' and his team were very easy to work with. I had them remove trees from my property but changed things on the day they arrived. He accommodated my changes at a very fair price. He was very responsive throughout the process. The team left the property very clean. Thanks Andrew!!"

"These Guys are amazing! They took down 5 large trees, plus one for my neighbor, for a very reasonable price and cleared a good section of the yard along with them. I am impressed by their exceptional service and Chris communicated well, explaining how they were going to tackle this project. I will surely be hiring them again and singing their praises to friends and family."

Customers say: Quick response

"This landscaper cut down and removed a tree in our yard that a huge wind that pulled half way out of the ground. It was at a dangerous angle and needed to be cut down and ground up. No one could have done a better or faster job. More over he came on time and completed the jo in one day, and unheard of on Cape Code when he was ten min late the day before to give rice est he called to explain the delay. We cannot imagine a service company that is more reliable or does better work at an extremely reasonable price."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Ideally, you’ll have a good enough relationship with your neighbors that you can kindly mention this task in regular conversation. However, every neighbor (and neighborhood) is different. Your best bet will always be to ask directly and nicely, offering to contribute to the tree trimming efforts if you’d like. However, if you are bothered by the tree and your neighbor is unwilling to cut it, you can involve the help of the homeowners’ association or local authorities, if applicable.

If executed correctly your tree should survive after being transplanted to a new spot. However, effective transplanting requires six months, careful root pruning, safe transport to the new location, and replanting in prime soil conditions. You’ll also need an appropriately sized root ball for a complete tree transplant. A good rule of thumb is that, for every inch in diameter, your tree’s root ball needs to be around 11 inches. So a tree with a diameter of six inches needs a root ball of approximately 66 inches.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.

Transplanting a palm tree is a similar process except for a couple of important differences. First, their root ball doesn’t need to be as large as a “true” tree, which makes them a bit easier to dig up and move around. Second, they struggle more with taking root and staying upright in a new location, so it’s important to give them extra support when staking.

Yes, forestry mulching can grind stumps, but the level of effectiveness depends on the equipment used. Drum mulchers can break down smaller stumps, but larger or deep-rooted stumps may require a dedicated stump grinder for complete removal. If full stump removal is necessary for replanting or construction, additional excavation may be needed. Always check with your forestry mulching provider to confirm whether they offer stump grinding and if their equipment is suitable for your specific needs.
