"Kitchen ceiling was completed first. No mold was found and kitchen ceiling was repaired including swirl patterned ceiling. bathroom ceiling + walls repaired/replaced. A totally unrelated hole in the dry wall was also repaired at no additional cost. Again they had a complete clean up. Done in a timely and efficient manner. The company also requested a 07:30 start. I requested an 08:00 start and they waited an addition 15 mins which was needed. I plan to hire them again."

"Joe redid the porch with brick and granite, redid the walkway with pavers and removed a couple of bushes that were blocking the porch. He responded promptly to calls and texts and showed up exactly when he said he would. The work went smoothly and was completed within a week. It looks fantastic! We are thrilled with the results. On top of that, Joe is one of the nicest and most honest guys we've dealt with. I highly recommend Joe and his work."

Kirby Masonry specializes in new construction, repairs, and renovation of masonry projects including but not limited to chimneys, re-pointing, retaining walls, patios, walkways, fireplaces, steps, porches, decks, and brick veneering. The company provides all types of masonry using brick, concrete, block, stone, and stucco, and it offers its services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. We have 5-6 workers. Pay by check deposit when start and pay remaining when job complete.

"Jason Kirby and crew did an excellent job, with fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. This job was to replace a stucco and half timber exterior wall on a historic 1920's English Tudor, so that it matched the detailing and craftsmanship to the rest of the house. Jason assembled a highly skilled team. They competed the job on schedule, Jason communicated regularly about status and next steps, and I couldn't be happier with the result (looks original to the house). Jason's fees are very reasonable, and I would recommend him for any job involving masonry, having worked with him in the past on brickwork as well."

"I’m a returning customer. Greg previously redid my basement fireplace. This time he redid my house’s original 1960s slate flagstone entry walkway and brick stairway. The walkway was redone with grey beacon hill flagstone concrete pavers and a boarder of charcoal concrete pavers. He repaired the brick stairway foundation and refinished it with fieldstone veneer fronts, blue granite treads, and blue mist granite pavers on the landing. To my flower beds, he added Stanstead granite cobblestone edging and retaining wall on the side by my driveway. As a nice finishing touch, he spread loam on the soil along the length of edging and walkway where the lawn had been disrupted, to prep it for us to plant grass seed. Last, but not least, he added a granite step to my shed entrance. It looks beautiful! At every step of the process, Greg was prompt, friendly, patient and informative. He’s dedicated to his trade and the job on hand and he’s hard-working. He knows his trade exceptionally well, which is reflected in his work. We are so happy with the quality of his workmanship and highly recommend Greg DeLuca and DeLuca Masonry."

"I am grateful that I received a referral for Gabe's painting services. I needed to have my upstairs bedroom ceiling, a high stairway ceiling, and walls painted. Gabe's response time was quick, and he and his crew arrived on time. They were all very professional throughout the entire process. The price was affordable and fair, and to my surprise, they even painted the trim along the windows, floor and doors without charging me extra. Gabe ensured that the work was done professionally, and I am very pleased with the results. I will definitely be working with him again in the future."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

On average, the cost of stucco siding is $5,600, and most homeowners pay between $2,200 and $9,100. Stucco prices depend on several factors, including labor and materials, the size and complexity of your home, your desired color and finish, and the popularity of stucco in your area. Ways to save money on your stucco installation include removing the old siding yourself and planning your installation during the off-season months.

Yes, using natural additives and methods that lower impact.

You should aim to let stucco dry for at least 48 hours before it rains. While misting new stucco and keeping it moderately moist is important for strength and longevity, uncontrolled exposure to rain can lead to weak stucco that doesn’t bond properly. Rain can also affect the stucco finish and the color unevenly, leaving you with less appealing siding.

If it is applied properly, stucco is a durable material that can last between 50 and 80 years, especially with regular repair and maintenance. Things like painting the stucco every 10 years or so will help it last longer. The location of your home plays a big part in the life span of your stucco, too.

Yes, you can screw directly into stucco. Only do so if the item you are installing is a permanent fixture. Drill a pilot hole into the stucco using a masonry or concrete bit, then drive in the screw with a power drill or screwdriver.
