"We were in need of some repairs and replacement of some pool parts. Doug came several times to assess the situation and was helpful in getting our pump, etc up and running. Installed new ladder, and got the water ready for another swim season. He kept in touch with progress and pricing. Was prompt and easy to reach. Will rehire for ongoing maintenance and pool closing."

"Nate and Elite Pools are a godsend to any pool owner. From the day my pool is opened to the sad day in the fall when it is closed, the pool is sparkling clean. This company is incredibly reliable in every way."

"Went great. Bob is a total pro. Deck needed extensive repair work due to rot and instability. Bob salvaged as much of the structure as possible and rebuilt the rest. Cost a lot less than a total rebuild would have. Would highly recommend him for any contracting work. He can basically do it all."

Pool Construction and Installation FAQs, answered by experts

Professionals prevent misalignment, ensure sturdy construction, and save time by handling complex instructions.

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.

When planning for land survey costs, you should consider the following elements as major contributors to the overall cost:

  • Size of your property in terms of acres or square feet

  • Complexity of the terrain in terms of hills, elevation changes, rocks, water, and other features

  • Type of survey you need (boundary survey, topographic survey, or a combination of survey types)

  • Distance traveled for the professional surveyor

This is fairly rare, but sometimes the local government or a group like a historical society will label a tree as a landmark, or historical item. These designations almost always come with a small, on-site plaque for identification, but you should also be able to look up protected trees in your area on a city website or similar list. If the tree in question is a landmark, call your local government and ask how to proceed before making any plans.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.
