"Adam called me immediately and met me that same day. I hired the company and they cut my grass that same day. They used a ride on mower and my land is uneven so some areas were shorter than others. Two days later they spread 10 yards of hemlock mulch and recut some areas of my grass with push mower. They will use a push mower in the future. My yard now looks beautifully landscaped. "Fantastic work! Had a very complex job to remove 2 big trees from behind and close to the house down a slope. We agreed a crane was the best approach. Its like they plucked them right out of the ground and left no marks. What a sight to watch! They also did a smaller tree and some recent storm damage removal and trimming as well. Baldi's was diligent and very professional and left the place spotless, could not believe every scrap was gone! Very reasonable price so I gave extra for doing such an amazing job. Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You will know that an oak tree needs to be removed when you see vertical cracks or dead branch stubs, which indicate internal decay. Other signs include trunk rot near the base of the tree and sprouts or small branches coming from the trunk.

The ideal depth of a tree notch depends on the tree, but it should usually be between 20% and 25% of the tree’s depth. However, if the tree is leaning towards the direction of the notch, it can be cut more shallowly—at as little as 10% of the depth. When the tree is leaning away from the direction it needs to be felled, you can cut deeper, closer to 30%.
