"Wallpaper removal = A; plastering = A-; painting: C+. We were disappointed in the overall experience. They were kind enough and their wallpaper removal and plastering was great, really solid—but on the final day, they rushed with the painting to get it done on the original time frame, and while one room was top notch, another was above average, and the bathroom was very sloppy. There was wall paint on our bathroom tiles, vanity, and shower; unsanded/unsmoothed plaster chunks that were just painted right over and were unsightly and lumpy; peeling caulking; parts where the paint was crooked or misaligned with baseboards; paint dribbles on floor and utensils on counter; and they did a poor job cleaning up, with plaster dust everywhere, paint to be cleaned up in the bathroom, and paint and plaster dust in, on, and around our cabinets. One of the crew members’ painting skills was just rushed and poor and it detracted from the others’ skills. By the time the job was over they rushed to get out of the house and did not carefully complete a walkthrough."

"NE Carpentry did an excellent job.  I contracted to have them demolish an old shed in my backyard and build a new, slightly larger one according to my specifications.  Gil, the owner, personally oversaw the project with 3 of his men. The project took 6 working days which is what was projected.  The quality of the work done and the professionalism of Gil and his workers was first rate.  He not only built a handsome shed on time but also offered suggestions along the way, responded to change orders without question and cleaned the site every night.  I would definitely hire NE Carpentry again and highly recommend the company.  Charlie"

"We hired EA Masonry a year ago to rebuild the 12 step stone stairway with a landing from the driveway to the sidewalk around the house and the three steps to the front door. The workmanship was excellent so we accepted their bid to reconstruct the patio behind the house and build a walkway in the side garden. Once again the workmanship was excellent, from the removal of the old patio to the establishment of a superior base and the design and meticulous installation of a three-piece paver pattern. Let me start by saying Nick was very professional and well versed in his products, services & industry.   Nice guy all around who was easy to talk to and was a no pressure person, which I prefer.  Very responsive to any and all questions and was willing to offer up all the answers and information he could.  This was greatly appreciated.  

Now as a whole, I don't believe this is worth $49.  It was more of a sales pitch.  One of which I would suggest be offered for free of charge.  He did not inspect down spouts or exterior foundation, nor did he inspect window wells for leaks, etc.   He did check humidity levels and also go over thoroughly his suggested fixes to keep my basement dry and prevent any future issues, especially due to me wanting to finish it.  I pointed out my problem areas and he gave me solid recommendations. 

When and if I choose to install certain measures in my basement, I will absolutely consider this company, if not the service, definitely the products.   But this deal - not worth $49.  I'm sure you can get this for free if you call another vendor.  Regardless, this is tough as I did like Nick and all that he did do.  Just the $49 is why I gave pricing a C.  I think I wanted more of a drawn up/written plan.   He did send me a detailed estimate that same day.
