We were recently awarded a Super Service award in 2017 and we were given the title TOP PROS 2018 on thumbtack! Our company serves all of the Metro West and South Shore. Including Brookline, Newton, Milton and Dorchester.

"We hired MPP to paint our newly constructed porch. Rafael was responsive to my initial request and I thought the price was very fair after getting 3-4 other quotes. The crew came as scheduled and did an amazing job. I was nervous about the paint job since it is a brand new porch, but MPP exceeded expectations. In fact, they did such a good job that we had them back to scrape and plaster over some popcorn ceiling in our living room. Not surprisingly, they did a great job with that too. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.

Hanging wallpaper may seem simple, but in practice it requires significant planning and finesse to make it look professional. To start, you need to get an even application of wallpaper paste across all of your wallpaper, which requires experience and large pasting tables to get right. You also need to plan out your design and match it exactly so that you don’t have imperfections in the finished product. It’s often better to hire a professional wallpaper hanger who can get the job done properly for a clean, smooth finish.

You can put wallpaper in a bathroom, but peel-and-stick wallpaper sometimes doesn’t adhere as well in a humid bathroom as traditional wallpaper with adhesive. If your bathroom has fans that aid in ventilation, you can reduce problems with humidity for peel-and-stick wallpaper. Selecting a vinyl- or polyester-based peel-and-stick wallpaper should give you more durable results than other materials.

No, you don’t always have to remove old wallpaper before applying a new layer. However, you should pull off the existing wallpaper if it’s cracked, peeling, or in poor condition. We’d also recommend against putting wallpaper over textured or dark-colored wallpaper because the old layer may be visible through the new one. In addition, if you try to hang new wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper, the adhesive might not stick properly.
