"Al came out initially on time (early actually!) was exceptionally professional and gave a tiered quote on work that "needs" to be done and "could" be done with fair pricing. We scheduled the work for a later date and Al returned and did a fantastic job! He was punctual (again) and efficient-completing all the agreed upon work in a timely manner. He also plugged a hole in the back of our fireplace we didn't know about until we removed the wood burning stove and filled extra cracks on the chimney after capping it. I would definitely hire him again and have even referred him to some friends and relatives... 5+ stars from a very happy customer!"

"I called for a free estimate, Justin came promtly and inspected the chimey. He showed me pictures of the problems and spelled out all the options. I explained to him that my cellar has floode due the problems and was anxious to get the repairs done. Justin quoted a price that was fair and much lower then any other estimates. To my surprise he said that he could do the job that day. He kept sending me pictures as the work progressed so I knew exactlywhat he was doing. He was professional and honest about what needed to be done. I was more then pleased with him and the company. I highly recommend .Chimneys are us."

"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

"We originally hired MacLellan Plumbing and Heating to replace the main pipe in our cellar. We were so pleased with how everything went, that we hired them again to replace our heating systems in our 2 family home. Marty explained our options and answered all of our many questions. Marty, Joe and their office staff were amazing. They installed two combination boiler and water heater systems in our home. Both Marty and Joe were very friendly, polite and always prompt. My sister and I always felt safe while they were there. From the moment they started everything they needed was set up, organized and ready to go. Each night our cellar was left neat and tidy. When the installs were complete, you would not have even known that we had work done. The installs went seamlessly and within the stated time frame. Everything went so well that we will be hiring them again to move our laundry to the first floor. Before they left we asked if they had time to check our stove to make sure it was working properly and to check our garbage disposal that was jammed. The disposal could not be fixed, so I asked if they could replace it when they come back to move our laundry. Marty said “No, I have a new one in the van and I can install it before we go.” Amazing."

"This company is awesomely good. When my relatively new pool heater sprung a leak, I first called the company that I bought it from and that installed it. They told me that it was my fault it was broken, that there was no way it would be covered under the warranty, and that I had to replace the entire heater. That did not sit well with me so at the recommendation of the pool heater manufacturer I called New England Gas Systems. Bruce carefully dismantled the system, investigated the problem, and most importantly identified and explained the root cause of the problem. But that’s not all. They also went to bat for me and convinced the manufacturer to honor the warranty on the part that was broken, which was a huge financial savings for me. They ordered all the right parts, including the parts to fix the root cause, and efficiently put everything together so that the pool heater now looks and is working like brand new. I cannot say enough good things about the expertise, professionalism, and integrity of this company and its owner. They truly lived up to the ideals that you expect from a service provider and as a result have gained a new customer for life."

"We bought our washer and dryer from this place - ironically we were convinced by the sales guy Paull that we should buy GE because its American Made and the availability of parts (in case something happens) is superior to foreign brands. 6 years later we were hearing a squeaking noise when we ran the dryer. No big deal but we wanted to be proactive and get it looked at before something catastrophic happened. So we called Advantage Appliance. The service tech said that it was an easy fix - an idler pulley and we should replace it. Cool. The parts came in and they sent someone out to replace it. Tech 2 came out a week later - 1 hour later the tech came to me and said he had the wrong parts and would have to come back. OK - as long as the dryer still works, we’ll wait for the right parts. NOPE! The tech Alec/Alex in his valiant efforts to replace a squeaky wheel FRIED the control board rendering the dry USELESS. Even the “owner of the service company” Dave came out that night to try and fix it. Let me tell you...Dave seemed ****** that he was there on a Saturday night and his attitude reflected that. Long Story Short... The control board is on backorder and they have no estimate on when this part will be available. I’ve called and called and they have no other solution other than just to wash our clothes and hang dry them - no loaner dryer - no replacement - so now I have laundry piling up. I can find this part available online but they refuse to get it from anyone else. My last call with this company the person on the phone tried to defend them and said its not their fault that these things happen. Like “if you went to a car dealership for an oil change and they tell you you need new brakes.” NO! It’s like I went to a car dealership for an oil change and the mechanic stuck an ice pick in all my tires and told me I need new tires. Till waiting…."
