"When we started our plan of remodeling, the first thing we did was the complete roof replacement including kitchen vent & duct pipe installation to the roof, and new installation of attic ventilation. MMP did not only completed it just as agreed but also very efficiently. The crews were friendly, professional, and careful. The jobs were carefully managed and implemented effectively. I was impressed by Matt, who is the manager, and he does an outstanding job in managing the crews and the progress of the situation, and the communication was clear and always to the point. We then moved to initiate a search for a contractor of two bathrooms remodeling after completing the roof and attic vent, MMP was one of the many candidates. Matt has had not only the best idea and proposals but also shown an impressive & professional sense of evaluating the project accurately, including the possible structural modification as well as a competitive estimate of the cost of the build. His proposal included a rebuild of a wall of the bathroom to expand another one adjacent to it. Matt accepted to use my schematic design image (made with a software tool) and a spreadsheet list of the fixtures that I created - as many as fifty items including TOTO, Grohe, American Standard, Panasonic, and IKEA - to start the job (later changed some of them due to local plumbing code compliance) After beginning the bathroom remodel project, Matt shared what jobs will be done with us timely and efficiently via text so that we feel comfortable enough in knowing what is going on while living in the house of dust & noise from remodeling. The crews, Zen and Mark, were very courteous, extensively experienced, reliable, and friendly with excellent communication, sometimes with songs of 80s rock music. They ask me when more precise specifications are needed and notified me when they feel advance notifications are required. When a change is necessary due to inspection, they informed me and clarified what and why. I have never felt uncomfortable in living together with the remodel job which has lasted over four months. The completed two bathrooms were stunning, just as I imagined. Matt, Zen, and Mark have proved their strong & thoughtful expertise and lived up with my request patiently until completion. Great job. "I have worked with different contractors before but Richard is on a different level. I do not usually write review but in this case I feel obligated to write one given how wonderful he was. Not only was he hardworking, he was kind and would go to any length to make sure the needs of his clients are met. Our work with Richard started last March, we wanted an extra space for guests and the initial plan was to finish a room on top of our garage. Given my bad experiences with previous projects, I wanted to be careful in choosing a contractor. So I came on Angie’s list and was reading through different reviews for different contractors. When I got Richard’s, I liked all the reviews but what really got me hooked was the single negative review on his profile. I read through Richard’s rebuttal and knew right away we found the right person. I appreciated how he explained in details (without being defensive or sounding angry) what the issues with that project were. I reached out to him immediately and even though he was on vacation with his wonderful wife (who I later met) he responded right away and we were able to fix a time to meet. He met with me and my husband at the house and he explained in full details how he works from designing down to completion of the project. We explained to him what we wanted and he promised to give us a quote in few day which he did. Given how much the initial project was going to cost, Richard suggested that it would be cost effective to finish the basement instead. And thank God we took his advice, now not only do we have an extra room for our guest, we also have an extra living area and an extra bathroom. Richard carried us along all every step of the way, he was always asking for our opinions and always making sure that our needs were met. From design, to permit (which required multiple visit to the city hall), to hiring sub-contractors, I never for once had any regrets. We had few bumps on the road, but Richard was there to calm our anxiety and to provide solutions. Cost was well willing our budget. I have never seen anyone worked so hard for his client. This man worked harder than any 30 year-old around. We are very happy with the final product and would definitely hire him again. As I have told him jokingly that I hope he does not retire any time soon."

Scott Curtice was extremely helpful, engaged and communicative through entire project, with many great practical and aesthetic ideas on design, fixture selection, execution (minimizing disruption to remainder of house not being worked, considering living space arrangements while half of house/bedrooms/bathrooms out of use, and setting up a temporary laundry) and finishes. He was cost conscious and fully transparent about pricing and the effect of various choices and selections throughout, while remaining happy to go ahead with whatever choices we made after weighing on the pros and cons. His project manager Vassili was also great to work with, also very thoughtful about both the functional aspects of the project as well as the look. The final result has exceeded our expectations. The work also progressed steadily, without being left for any period without contractors or subcontractors moving things along, and stayed to the planned tight schedule (taking about 8 months for entire project)"

"Khaled, of Abalia arrived on time, and quickly assessed a loose shingle issue with the roof of our detached garage. Security rope over the roof, ladder to the lower edge of the roof, 10 minutes "on site", and done. Good as new. Could not have asked for / expected better service."

"Very well.  I acted as general contractor after my builder disappeared in the middle of the job.  I had some good contractors and some not so good ones.  HS Plastering and Painting was at the top of the good list.  The quality of their work was very good; no complaints there at all.  But what stood out was the experience of working with them.  They came when asked, did what they were asked to do, acted in a professional manner, stood by their work, and were a true pleasure to have as a contractor.  They were quick, worked weekends to get the job done, and didn't cut corners.  
In fact, my realtor liked them so much that she asked for their contact information for other houses that she works on.
