We assemble furniture, exercise equipment, swing sets, & so much more! We can do change outs for new doorknobs, garbage disposals, light fixtures, fans, faucets, toilets, & more. Honey do's that you don't want to do yourself. \n\nI have been in business since 2019. But I have over 25+ years of assembling things. I was let go doing the massive layoff from Baker Hughes in 2015. I enjoyed assembling things, working with my hands. I decided to go into business for myself. \n\nOur small business only consists of my wife & I. I am from the Lafayette area. We enjoy meeting & helping those in need!\n\nWe have had many types of customers. From businesses around the Acadiana area, to single parents that don't have the time, to families that just have way too many things to do, to those that can't figure out how to read the crazy instructions! \n\nWe were ranked #1 on Nextdoor for the Lafayette area in assembly/handyman.

"They contacted me right away. Said that they were licensed and certified and that the drivers would have copies of these certificates. They did not have the certificates on them. So I am not sure if they are licensed and certified. They said they could take care of any problem that they found at this appointment. Our fireplace was full of wasp and they were telling us stories of other jobs that had a bunch of wasp, but they did not have any wasp spray. They had to use the 2 cans that I had. When cleaning out the fireplace, they did not even have a bucket to put the ashes in. We needed a new cleanout door, but they did not have any. They did not even clean out the ash from this area. They could not show us any photos or videos of the before or after cleaning"

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Even if you aren’t using a home chimney anymore, you need to vent it at the top and bottom to allow for continuous airflow. A blocked-up chimney is still a chimney, so it requires annual maintenance and a professional inspection to ensure its structural integrity is intact. Consult a chimney professional about the ideal timing for venting an unused chimney.

A fireplace can increase a home's value by as much as 12%, with some reports indicating that homes with fireplaces list for around 13% more than the median sale price. Fireplaces are both functional and aesthetically pleasing, adding a charm that many homebuyers find desirable. The actual return on investment depends on the fireplace's size, type, and material.

However, a fireplace can detract from a property's value if it is unusable, not up to code, or in need of immediate repairs. The type of fireplace also matters; custom electric fireplaces and inserts can add value, while freestanding units that can be removed have less impact.

Yes, in most cases, you can remove a fireplace while keeping the chimney. This process requires sealing the chimney at the bottom where it connected to the fireplace and capping it at the top. It is essential to consult a chimney professional or inspection specialist beforehand. They will need to determine if the chimney's structural integrity is sufficient to remain safely in place without the support of the fireplace.

Some people don’t like the look of gas fireplaces since they don’t offer the classic charm or appeal of a wood-burning fire. Plus, gas fireplace installation is more expensive than other types of fireplace installations due to the added complexity of working with gas lines. There’s also a chance that gas could get into your home, which is a major health and safety risk.

A chimney requires both a cover and a cap, but these parts often get confused with one another. A chimney cover seals the top of the chimney around the flue pipe to prevent water from entering the chimney. A chimney cap is a piece that sits above the flue to prevent animals, debris, and water from entering the flue.
