Small jobs welcome

"The owner is Gary Bordelon and he is fabulous.  All my friends have used him; everything just starts raving to this man.  He is honest and punctual.  He does perfect work and his prices are reasonable.  He never lacks for works.  He has two phone numbers and answers almost 24/7 then he comes out and does the job.  He does everything; commercial, residential, handyman, home remodeling, home repairs and general renovation.  He has worked for me numerable times and he is absolutely fabulous.  He goes everywhere so he serviced anybody in this area.  His card says "No job too small" and that's how I found him; I had a tiny job and he ended up residing my house.  Through the years I've used him and he was highly recommended to me by a friend of mine.  Then I used him and I highly recommended him to several friends of mine.  I've never heard a bad word about him; everybody calls me and says he is fabulous.  He is terrific.  The most wonderful thing about him is he is honest. I like the quality of his work, dependability, honesty and promptness.  He makes people go insane with pleasure.  He is always busy so I have to wait for awhile but it is worth it.

Handyman Services questions, answered by experts

If a contractor is in breach of your contract, sometimes it is possible to collect damages for unreasonable delays. However, such claims can be expensive and difficult to prove. If there’s a way to complete the work and maybe negotiate for a discount for some of the inconvenience, that might be a simpler and cheaper way to resolve any disputes.

Most contractors do not charge for meetings, but it can depend on the project, mainly if it includes detailed consultations or project planning. For general estimates, homeowners shouldn't expect to be charged. Always ask up front about meeting fees to avoid surprises and ensure you know what’s included in the process.

After cutting Corian® to the right size, you may have to attach it to another piece of Corian®, either at a corner or another seam. One way to create the tightest seam is to place the two pieces of Corian® on a level surface at ⅜-inch apart. Run a router in between the two slabs to create an identical edge on both pieces. Then use the proper DuPont Joint Adhesive for your type of seam and countertop to join the Corian® together.

Many contractors prefer checks because they’re easy to track and have no associated fees. However, many also accept credit cards (though they might add a fee to cover their processing costs).

Reviewing your contract for termination terms is best when ending a relationship with a contractor. If there is nothing in the contract or you had a verbal agreement, communicate your decision in writing, citing specific reasons. Afterward, pay for the completed work per your original agreement. Remember you want a record of all correspondence in case you need a lawyer later to settle disputes.
