Hurricane Ida completely exhausted me mentally and physically, and I just knew this wasn't something I could pull off. They remained in constant communication through the entire process. Patrick was familiar with the New Orleans area and was extremely flexible as we timed the move around power restoration. My friend decided to keep her couch and a coffee table she wasn't originally planning to move with, due to supply chain and delivery concerns. Patrick was able to make it work even though the change was inside of a week. I can not say enough good things about this experience, and we all know how stressful moving can be. It was worth every penny, and it was a lot less expensive than I originally thought it would be. Call them. You will not regret it
- Metropolitan Moving & StorageMetropolitan's estimator assured us that his estimate was more in line that that of Town and Country thus we elected to use them even though their hourly rate was higher. No packing instructions were given and then we were notified that my desk and dresser needed to be packed the day of the move. In the end they billed us for 4 hours more than the projected costs and event tried billing us for a second trip due to rain. Our move was scheduled for September 2, 2014 and they arrived 1/2 hour late. In the end the rain suspended the move. The workers waited for the rain to clear but to no avail they had to reschedule the remainder of the move for the next morning. It is my assessment that they under estimated the move while selling us a price that was suppose to be spot on or less then. Also they tried to bill us for a second trip and time that was not spent working. Lastly, we are missing one area rug and a box containing office supplies they packed due to lack of communications by them on what exactly was needed. We would have certainly packed the office and dresser as everything else was packed by a team in advance of the move. The workers were friendly and in lieu of their conduct we tipped each of the six workers 20.00 as a thank you. Once the billed was received I disputed the charges immediately. It was a very contentious exchange and not one that was customer friendly. To date we have not received the final bill. I've sent two emails and placed a call requesting the adjusted final bill. My interest is in paying the bill and putting this experience in my rear view mirror

"The guys were great and very helpful. They were prepared for the rain and heat. They moved quickly and took those 2 flights of stairs with all of the heavy items that we had. Near the end, they were not putting boxes in rooms that they were labeled for, but that was no big deal. There was no damage that we could tell. Nice guys too!

"When I first contacted Cristy, the co-owner, she quickly arranged the move and gave me a price quote during a very busy month. She was creative in squeezing me into her schedule. The movers arrived on time in CT and loaded the truck carefully and quickly. When they arrived in DC the next morning, also on time, they were extremely careful will all items. Nothing was damaged or broken, including my house, and they completed the job without any problems whatsoever. I have never experienced any movers as careful and considerate as Garrett and Chase were. Christy kept me updated along the way regarding changes in the schedule. She was also a delight to work with. If this company every went public, I would invest heavily in it since it excels ahead of all of its competition as far as my research showed. "I was looking for the most convenient way to move from Miami, Fl to South Carolina. Everybody was charging me over 2.5k to rent me a truck that I had to load and drive.
