"Initially I called Aleck for grass cutting at my vacant rental. Following the hurricane I had a tree partially come down in the back yard that was too much of a nuisance for other folks I called. I had called around to get quotes and timlines to have a tree company do some work. The fastest anyone could do it was 3+weeks. Aleck cut my grass, and cleaned up the fallen branches and then was able to coordinate the removal of a big tree and trimming of a second in less than 4 days! His price quotes (grass cutting and tree removal) were cheaper than anyone else I talked to, and he got it done FAST! The interaction I had with him is what I believe Angies list is all about. Aside from the work he has done, i have a new reliable handyman which is invaluable when you have a rental property and live out of state.show more

"This company did a fantastic job. I recently bought a house where the back yard turned into a swamp after it rained. Worse, the water would get right up to the edge of the in-ground pool during the heaviest rains, resulting in dirt and debris getting into the pool. In general the back yard was a quagmire with sorry-looking vegetation, littered with tree stumps, and a row of wild overgrowth. There didn't seem to be a good solution, because where one might logically install a drain pipe was blocked by yards of concrete. Wade engineered a creative solution, identifying a path for a drain pipe that I hadn't thought of, and used a series of drains to resolve the drainage problem. His team also got rid of the stumps and unwanted growth and put down limestone to prevent weed re-growth and keep dirt out of the drains, which is a good solution for me since I am not much of a gardener -- it is a very clean and orderly look. Also, he was able to tie several downspouts from my roof into the drain pipe. His team accomplished all this while working through the obstacle that part of the path they had thought was just dirt was actually concrete under a thin layer of dirt. In the process they needed to take down and put back fencing, and cut through and then repair my sidewalk. His team accomplished all of this in two days, cleaned up well, and spared the good plants and trees. My back yard has been dry since, and I have gotten so many compliments from people that saw the yard before, and the pool is crystal clear.show more
