"John was easy to work with. He showed up on time and was very efficient. He was unable to haul away a gas fireplace as it has to be disconnected by plumber but will come back to complete the job after it is disconnected. Will definitely call him again."

I'm a husband and father of 4 daughters. I'm in this to deliver top notch service in order to continue to provide for my family. I treat every project like it's my own. And will not consider a job finished without my client being satisfied.

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on item size, accessibility, and additional services like disconnection or recycling.

Demolition is a project that involves heavy machinery, skilled labor, and hazardous waste removal. It can also take multiple weeks to complete. Plus, it’s a dangerous job. The machinery itself costs a lot of money, as does the time of the people who are operating that machinery (and the training they receive to do so safely). Certain hazardous materials, like asbestos, can cost up to $25 per foot for removal.

While temporarily inconvenient, repiping a house is not super invasive. Depending on the size of your home, the project can take a few days to a week. During that time, plumbers may turn your water off here and there, but you won’t be without water the whole time. If you’re worried about living in your home during this renovation, you can always stay with friends or family or book a hotel room.

You can try reselling excess pavers online or offering them for free if someone wants to come take them. If you’re in a rush, you can look for a local recycling company to haul the pavers away. Another option is to reuse the excess pavers in another part of your yard. Depending on the size, pavers make good edging materials for garden beds or stepping stones for a simple paver walkway.

In some areas, tipping garbage and recycling workers around the holidays is a kind and common practice. Tipping between $20 and $50 once a year is a kind gesture for a team you've gotten to know or who does an exemplary job. While tipping junk haulers and waste management pros is not expected, it is a great way to show your appreciation.
