"Finally got one of the doorbell cameras that we’ve been seeing on TV commercials and at some of our family member’s houses. Alarm Protection Group was terrific in pricing this out for us and getting it up up and going. Simple and easy security solution!"
"Dale was terrific he arrived on time, was prepared to go to work, on arrival. Picked up a few necessary items, I didn’t have. Started and finished the job, cleaned up. Left with a functioning Ring doorbell that was connected to hard wire. Very professional and thorough."
"Self installed is the only option. System works fine for the most part though we have had problems with the motion sensor cameras. Not that I have anything against FrontPoint, but if I were replacing system, I would probably go with Simply Safe now that they have cameras."
"It was a smooth and simple installation . I had 3 doors and 15 windows which they sent me individual little connectors that go on each item. I did all the numbering and data for each unit and installed each one with minor corrections . The phone call took a few minutes with minor "

"The appt was set up, they called to verify time the day before. The installer arrived on time, told me about how long it would take, told me the steps he would take. . We discussed where the disk would be located. We discussed where I wanted the cable to come through through the wall or the floor, where I wanted my computer locainstallation went smoothly. No surprises. I am very pleased. "
"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
I called after getting flyer in the mail about a special that included a basic system that included 3 sensors, but a bonus of 15 sensors, a Visa gift card rebate for $100, and 2 remotes. I told the rep that I would probably need wireless sensors due to the layout of my house and she said that I would get 7 sensors since they were wireless . I counted up what I needed and I said that should work since that would give me 10 sensors total. She said the installer would give me the paperwork for the Visa Card.
The installer came as planned and he told me the deal was for 7 sensors total since it was wireless, not 10, so I had to pay for a couple of extra. He also configured some crazy $3,000+ system. I scaled it back to a system in the $600 range. He was really nice and knowledgeable and I appreciated his salesmanship and didn't pressure us to buy more than what I wanted, but there was an upsell on everything. So he was on time and responsive, but I was annoyed that I was given wrong info by the phone rep and paid more than I had anticipated. I didn't expect free, but I think some of the stuff is pricey. I used to work for Brinks and some of the equipment had cost built in because it had to be hard wired. The wireless has basically no labor since you simply stick it on the door. The installer was really great at showing us how to use everything and cleaning up when he was done.
The keypad had to be put in a prominent spot, which I could have dealt with, but it is big and ugly and looks like something from the 80s. If I had known the requirements that the newer style of keypad needing to be so many inches from the outlet, I would have had an electrician come in first and put an outlet in a better spot.
I asked the installer about getting the paperwork for my homeowners insurance and he said I would get that by email in 3 days. I did not so I called them and asked for it by email. He said I would get it in a day. I have not and have check my spam and email, so now I have to call again. I asked about the Visa card and he said the paperwork was emailed. It wasn't. He did resend that and you have to send it in with a $4.95 shipping and handling fee which is not annoying enough-you have to get a money order or cashiers check.
Even though the flyer had some small fine print on the back when I looked at it closer about the 7 sensors and a vague statement about shipping and handling, I felt the rep gave me wrong info and there are money order is just another hoop that I feel they are doing hoping you don't cash in.
So while the system and install went well, I don't have confidence in the company because I feel a bit "sold."
Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.
Typically 1-2 hours, factoring in ductwork and electrical connections.
Ensures safe electrical connections and proper venting, improving kitchen air quality.
No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.
A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.
