"within minutes, I received a call from the very friendly and professional Michelle. Calling me all the way from California! Michelle explained the services she could and could not offer in terms of my needed furniture repair. And while she cannot help me specifically with my furniture issue, she offered a very generous solution: she is going to send me leather dye for the scratched ottoman and talk me through the repair, should I need help! Michelle also explained that she deals with customers all over the country, in need of leather and purse and clothing repair, cleaning, and restoration. Based on my extremely positive experience with Michelle, I will be sure to call her in the future when I need help with fur, leather or suede goods!!!"

"I had my bath room toilet pipe bust overnight. I woke up around 4 in the morning and I was standing in almost ankle deep water through most of my house. Gave your company a call and they were very prompt with instructions on what to do while waiting on them the show up, and they arrived within the hour(on a Sunday I might add) and was able to suck up all the water and leave dehumidifiers before any further damage occurred. Even though the situation was hectic, they were able to provide a pleasant service. It happened about 3 weeks ago, since then they have called and checked on me and and have continued to make sure no mold has been growing in my drywall. Will highly recommend Kermit and his crew to anyone that I talk to. Excellent company."

Couch Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

Putting an air filter in backward can reduce airflow, which means your air conditioner has to work harder, putting a strain on your HVAC system. This can result in higher energy bills, premature repair, or even system replacement. Always check the manufacturer's guidelines to identify what is the front and back of the filter.

No, running your furnace without an air filter isn’t better than running it with a dirty filter. Even if it’s dirty, a filter will still prevent particles from blowing around your ducts and your house. However, neither of these options is good for your furnace or your health. Replace your filter once every one to three months for optimal furnace performance and air quality.

A HEPA filter is a powerful tool for clean air, but the structure doesn’t allow much air to pass through it. That means your HVAC motor must work harder to keep your air pressure consistent, which can result in higher energy bills. That, coupled with the higher cost of HEPA filters, may not make them the best choice for your HVAC system.

A correctly installed air filter will fit snugly in its compartment. One that’s too thick or big won’t lie smoothly, and it can block the airflow, sometimes resulting in strange noises. A filter that’s too small or improperly fitted may move around in the compartment, resulting in strange humming or vibration noises. Poor fitting can eventually cause a buildup of dirt in the HVAC ductwork, and reduced indoor air quality can lead to sneezing or excess dust on your surfaces.

No, air purifiers neither cause dry air nor increase the home's humidity levels. They remove allergens and dust but don't alter the water content in indoor air. However, because some air purifiers move large volumes of air, the areas immediately surrounding a portable unit can feel cooler and dryer than the rest of the home.
