"Tommy kept me informed at all times of his progress and was very explanatory about his procedures. He even returned on Friday night when the SW&B came to replace their lead connection. I will definitely use him again especially since now we have better water pressure than we have ever had in New Orleans."

"Jerod was an exceptionally professional young man. He was on time and worked diligently to get my fridge working. He received the part from LG and the next day he was installing it today (Sunday). Hopefully, it will be working tomorrow and I’ll be back ready to get out of the ice chest! Thank you for a job well done."

"I originally called to have an old gas pipe capped. The few that answered phones or bothered to call back were scheduling 3 weeks out He called back immediately and came out the same day. The pipes were old and kinked and a leak developed. He was willing to come out immediately even after hours to make it right. Another contractor tried to convince me to spend $1900 to replace all the pipes in the house and tomorrow-ed me for 3 weeks - yarg. Reliable took care immediately and guaranteed the work. They aren't slick fast talking artists- they're honest, reliable and will show up when you call. Saved me 2 grand and set my kind at ease!"

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Safety concerns with propane boilers include proper venting to prevent carbon monoxide buildup, secure gas line connections, and regular inspection of safety controls. Professional boiler installation and annual maintenance are essential to minimize risks. Having a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home is essential for early detection of any leaks or ventilation issues.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.

Yes. Boilers need water to run without overheating, also known as dry firing. If you run it without a sufficient volume of water, either because of a burst pipe or a leak, you run the risk of damaging your machine or jeopardizing the safety of your home as a whole. When in doubt, shut off your boiler and repair any plumbing issues before turning it back on. Alternatively, consider installing a low-water cutoff (LWCO) before any issues arise. This gadget will protect your boiler by monitoring water levels and automatically shutting it off if it gets too low.

Boilers provide even heating, energy efficiency, and a quiet operation compared to forced air systems.

If you hear your radiator clanking even when it’s turned off, it’s typically because there’s trapped water or air in the system, causing a pressure buildup. When you hear significant clanking, popping, crackling, or banging in a radiator that’s turned off, you’ll want to bleed the pipes or call in an HVAC specialist to deal with the problem (and prevent it from happening in the future).
