"Took some time to get them to come out but learned it was the beginning of the busy season so that's when people use their services. All in all, they were on time, inspected my gas fireplace, had some suggestions, and answered my questions. They had discovered some work that needs to be done with my chimney and sent me a quote but not pushy in using their company. I would recommend them"

"He was very professional and went over and above. I needed a large deck painted. He not only painted the deck but made some repairs as well. Will definitely use him again. I also used him to mulch my gardens. Again he did an excellent job plus repaired a few pavers that had lifted, without my asking. I will definitely call him for more projects."

Grill Assembly questions, answered by experts

Safety steps include proper vent installation, connector tightness, and leak testing. A safe environment must be maintained throughout.

Yes, you can lay a gas grill flat during transportation. Laying it flat can help prevent it from moving around the truck during the journey. It’s still advisable to secure the grill with bungee cords, just in case.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease
