"This was not a good experience.  The "$50 house call" advertised on the website, I found out only after the technician had arrived, applies only to a simple "get this snake out of my kitchen" call.  The charge for setting & baiting two live traps for a 5-day period was an outrageous $200 (one could purchase at least a half-dozen for that price), but it was just days before Easter & the problem needed to be resolved immediately.  In this instance, it wasn't even necessary for the technician to check the traps at all, as I walked right past them 2-3 times a day.  The squirrel seems to have gotten the not welcome message and left the immediate area; in any event, it was never caught or seen again.  The price for sealing the ridge-cap ends (less than an hour's work) was also outrageously high.  I would have to be truly desperate to ever again have anything to do with this outfit.

Once the animals and their young are out of the house, remove the nest and locate any entry points. Some may be difficult to find because some animals can fit through very small holes. Once you’ve located as many entry points as possible, use materials such as metal or masonry to block off the entry. Ideally, you should choose materials that most animals cannot chew through.   • Apply a bird gel repellent to the railings, which contains smells that birds generally don’t like. Or, similarly, you can apply citronella or lemon oil around the railings, since birds don’t like strong smells.

Numerous predators kill hornets, including frogs, birds, lizards, bats, spiders, and hedgehogs. Some larger predators, including rats, skunks, and racoons, will occasionally attack a hornet nest in order to eat the larvae inside.
