"They were very polite, clean, on time, took very good care of our home, kept in good contact. I will be hiring them again for our upper level. They painted, removed mirrors, fixed drywall, anything we needed! Well worth the $$."

"Tony did a great job with our gutters. Was very determined to get our gutters cleaned even with the crazy freezing weather and freezing gutters . He had to come back several times because of the weather but we really appreciated his hard work and determination. We even hired him to cut our grass in the spring when our lawn mower broke and he did a great job with that as well. We would hire Tony to do anything!"

"The direct service providers Rob and Pedro were professional and courteous.  The job they did painting was phenomenal!   Great paint job!  I requested painting service in July 2015. Services were performed in January 2016 do to staffing issues with the company. But having Rob and Pedro was worth the wait.  They did an awesome job! the price seemed very high. The quality of work Rob and Pedro provided was excellent though.

"Initially, I was excited by the referral from my construction contractor (Samuel Graham). Finding a quality painter/painting co. can be tricky and difficult to assess. I contacted Lance and he promptly came over to provide the estimate for this work and more in the future. We set up a date for service (exterior) and it came and went. I initially had trouble resetting the date because he was preoccupied w/reorganizing his business at the time he was supposed to begin. He hired (subbed out) some other painters for the exterior - and I was content to see that he had a plan to finish this job. He picked the right guys to assist and it all worked out well. He then finished the 3rd bedroom completely and did an excellent job. Anyway, we worked it out and he completed the job in a superior fashion. He has a great eye for color matching, room design as it applies to the paint scheme and coordinating all aspects of the room. I have a lot of experience w/remodeling interior and exterior and he came thru in a superior way. I also must say that his price point is fair. I was very satisfied w/ the job. We set up another date to paint 2 more rooms....later."

"It was going ok last year but I told them several times that I wanted some color added. I know that they planted some tulips, I saw 3 come up. There was also a couple of some kind of what I call buttercup plants and they didn’t last very long. That is another thing, they did not leave any type of plant identification with any of the plants or flowers. They put up a trellis and put in a couple of plants (again can’t tell you what they are) but they were suppose to be climbing up that trellis with lots of flowers. The plant grew about 2 feet and there were no flowers. Also Isacc left the helper to finish up a couple of things one of which was to use a crushed gravel to fill in around some stepping stones but he just dumped them all over the stones. Isacc tried to clean it up but there are still crushed rock over some of the stepping stones. I called them 4 weeks ago now. Someone came out and took a picture and said that it may take 2-3 weeks before some could come out. We are at the end of 4 weeks now and I have left several messages by text and answering machine. Not ONE call back from anyone. For some unknown reason Issac does not want to listen to answering machine messages, but Valerie would sometimes answer the telephone but not now. I guess they figured that they already have my money and can put me off. And yes, I am put off. Another thing is that you best know what flowers or plants you want because they were not very helpful with suggestions. If they had been responsive by now and taken care of a couple of things, I might have given them another try. At this point I really don’t believe they are going to respond."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.
