"The technician arrived on time and was courteous. He explained the cleaning process. He did a thorough job. He said the carpet would dry in 2 hours and it took closer to 12 hours. I was concerned that the carpet was too wet. It also felt tacky but once I vacuumed it, it looked great and felt normal.

"Daryl was very responsible, arrived on time, was willing to do the job on a Sunday and was very polite and agreeable. The job was done very very well and the price was the best in the market by far. I would definitely recommend KJM and would use them for any carpet cleaning job from now on."

"Very professional, thorough excellent cleaning the carpet. Carpet looked new again! I would highly recommend this cleaner to anyone. On time, reasonably priced, great customer service, and no soaked carpet that it takes days to dry! Best we have ever had and will continue to use them in the future."

"The employees of Gem cleaning were very professional and a delight to have them complete work for me. They were quick and thorough with their job and polite. When they were finished they offered to used a mold and mildew chemical in the vents. He told me up front that I didn’t have much but he did recommend the treatment, but not pushy about me doing the treatment. Therefore I went ahead and let them do the treatment. Along with killing mold and mildew the chemical left the house fresh and clean smelling. One last thing, my time window for them to show was 9 am to 11 pm. They showed around 8:55am ready to work. If I owned a business that cleaned Duct work I would hire either one of these employees. Gem cleaning did have one small fault that would be easily solve. They left my floors very dirty and never attempted to clean the floor under the vents. If the company would buy them a Dyson vaccuum they could clean under the vents very quickly. This is how I handled it and it took about five minutes and I decided that it didn’t warrant subtracting any stars. When they clean my Ducts again in a couple of years if they leave the floor dirty I will deduct from their score. After seeing these guys work I feel sure that when the company reads my review this situation will quickly be solved. Thank you Gem cleaning for a superb job."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

How often you should clean your dining room carpet depends on how much foot traffic and spillage your home experiences. At the very least, you should vacuum once or twice a week to remove surface debris before it can become embedded in the carpet fibers. Hire a pro for deep cleaning every 12 to 18 months to maintain freshness while prolonging the carpet's life span.

You’ve stored your coats away all summer long, but now that the temperatures drop, you notice they smell weird as you pull them from storage. What’s the deal? If your clothes smell weird after you stored them, they may have been in a moist, dark environment for several weeks or months. This environment is ideal for mildew growth, which can make clothes smell musty.

It’s best to avoid using furniture polish, any oil-based cleaners, varnish, ammonia, and cleaning solvents. Other harmful materials include chemicals like acetone or alcohol, which can cause severe damage to your couch.

Unless you have a steam cleaner with an extractor (which is what most professionals use), a steam cleaner only breaks up all the dirt and grime stuck to your flooring and doesn’t actually remove the dirt. After a steam clean, the key to getting rid of dirt and grime is going back over it with a vacuum, mop, or microfiber cloth.

To remove mold from fabric that’s part of your wood furniture, the best option is to take the fabric off and place it in the washing machine. If you cannot take the fabric off, it helps to move the furniture out into the sun. Use a high-quality vacuum to remove any mold spores that are present. You can try spraying the mold with a 50/50 vinegar-water mixture. Hydrogen peroxide is also a possibility for removing mold from fabric, but it could damage certain types of fabric.
