"I first met Santos Velasquez when we requested a quote for creating an apartment from a garage.  He was very professional and arrived on schedule.  It was a large project, building a barn to replace the garage space, and creating a one bedroom apartment in it's place.  He took pictures and notes.  Santos called within a few days and recommended we involve an architect and scheduled a time to meet her.  Again, they arrived on time.  Shari Mullins, with pillar3, agreed to make some drawings.   These proved to be exactly what we wanted! The process was not speedy.  We discovered the septic system needed to be replaced and the plumbing system was dissolving.  We decided to add a bathroom and a closet to the room above the garage.  Santos and Shari worked together, finding the right specialists and contractors, keeping the permits on schedule and the work moving forward. I met with four contractors before I chose Louisville City Handyman (LCH), one whose reputation deemed them experts in remodeling 100-year-old homes in my neighborhood. Their quote was very close between LCH, but what sold me on LCH was how the contractor, Keenan, communicated with me during the quote assessment, and I am so glad I decided to move forward with him. LIAR AND THIEFS I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with this company NICK the one who promised me stuff on my set of blueprints the company never did and when I told them they never held up to their agreement I was supposed to get a full set of big prints now they want to charge me extra 500 to send them when I can get it way cheaper are you ridiculous I’ve all ready paid 7000 and that I never got quoted I was quoted 4000 and then they hit me an extra 3000 grand nothing but headaches and problems with them no communication or nothing and all I got was a bunch of lies and broken promises and never knew who I was gonna speak to the next time I called my project kept getting handed off I’m hoping when I take these to my county they don’t laugh at me AND IM TALKING TO A LAWYER"

I have owned 6 houses and have hired many contractors and none of them can hold a candle to this company and their work ethic. George's crew is highly skilled, hardworking, on time, friendly and a pleasure to work with every day. They showed up at the crack of dawn and worked until dusk and several times beyond. George has very high standards when it comes to the quality of his work, and he made sure that we were satisfied with every aspect of the garage build. We are not the typical customers and wanted to add "character" in our new build. We insisted on using 4 antique 110-year-old porch posts, adding a cupola and weathervane vane to the metal garage roof and used other salvaged materials. George's crew made it all work like magic, without complaint or added labor cost. The total price of the garage was very reasonable also. "We needed more space for offices on the first floor and a master bathroom with a second closet for my wife on the second floor, and couldn’t be more pleased with the result. We love the Saint Matthews area and wanted to stay in the neighborhood, but we had to have more room in the house for the family. Our plan for the addition came closer to the property boundaries than the dated zoning rules allowed for. DDR got us approved for the variance and permits we needed with no problems. The workers were all very nice, polite, and courteous to me and my wife. They kept the rest of the house clean while they worked and were very responsive to our questions and ideas.
