"They were here early. The job was completed in less than 2 hours. They cleaned up after themselves. The price was fair. I'm satisfied with the job. The people were friendly."

"They were communicative and fast. They painted a huge outdoor area in one day and did another large indoor room on another day. This was for a commercial project. I would recommend hiring them. We tried several other painters beforehand and this was the first crew that did what they said they’d do, and did a good job."

"Outstanding customer service! The deck looks beautiful and they went above and beyond to meet my expectations. The weather did not cooperate but Justin and his team made sure the deck was completed on time! I also had ceiling fans installed in three rooms and I love them. These guys are great and I will definitely be using them again for home improvements. Thank you Justin!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Always wait until the morning dew has dried before you stain your deck. The stain needs a fully dry surface to sink into.

The best way to protect a deck is to prevent damage from UV light, water, mold, mildew, insects, and abrasive cleaning methods. Sweep regularly to prevent debris that hides bugs and traps moisture that can result in mold or mildew growth. Use a deck cleaner once a year to remove algae, mold, and mildew. Avoid using pressure washers on high, as they can damage the wood. Applying a deck sealant can protect the wood from UV and water damage, and adding shade can also reduce sunlight damage.

Painted decks typically require a new coat about once every ten years. In between new coats, it's best to maintain your deck by regularly removing debris, washing it down with non-abrasive cleaners, and staying ahead of structural issues, such as loose boards and rotting wood. In some cases, painting a small section of your deck affected by damage or the sun can lower your costs and workload.

Hot, intense sunshine can cause your stain to dry too quickly, which could lead it to look uneven or patchy. If you’re staining the deck during hotter months, it’s best to do it in the morning or evening once the wood has had time to cool down. If you’re staining in cooler weather with less sunshine, the time of day won’t make as much of a difference.

No, it is not okay to paint over rotted wood. Painting over rotted wood will not address the underlying issue and can trap moisture, leading to further decay. Properly addressing the rotted wood by removing and replacing or repairing the damaged areas is necessary before you can even consider painting.
