"In the past we have had an extremely hard time finding anyone that was willing to come to the area where we live to give us a bid. We found a company located in a neighboring town that we hired to do a remodeling job for us. The work was so bad that they didn't even come back to pick up all of their equipment or finish getting paid for the job. So, when I sent a message through Angi I was surprised to receive a reply the same day from Men in White. Curt came out the next day and gave us the most reasonable bid we could imagine. I was sceptical but my husband who met Curt for the bid really liked him. Men in White got started the following week and had finished the job in a blink of an eye! Curt fixed the cracks in the tape & mud job that has appeared from the first company. In other words Curt came in and fixed the horrible job of the first company. I have been totally blown away by their workmanship. He cleaned up after himself & the communication from Curt was top notch!"

"Really happy with the drywall installation! The crew was easy to work with, respectful, and showed up ready to get the job done. They worked quickly but didn?t cut corners, and everything was left neat and tidy. The finish came out smooth and looks great. I?d definitely recommend them if you need drywall work done!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, it matters which side of drywall you use. One side is smooth, and the other is rough. The smooth side should be facing outward, toward the room, while the rough side should be hidden and facing the studs and framing of the house. The smooth side will be easier to apply tape, joint compound, and, later, paint to.

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. But if you are DIYing your drywall installation, glue is a perfectly fine choice if you’re willing to pay extra for adhesive.

In most cases, plaster repair will improve your home’s energy efficiency because a solid barrier of the insulative material helps keep conditioned air inside your home. Major plaster repair jobs like repairing large cracks or crumbling sections of plaster or applying a skim coat might make a noticeable difference in your heating and cooling bills. Not only can plaster repairs improve efficiency, but they can also reduce strain on your HVAC equipment, potentially saving you money on maintenance and repairs.

Although they are used for similar tasks, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum and is primarily used for large-scale projects like taping and finishing seams on new drywall. Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it a thicker compound best suited for small wall repairs like filling nail holes or cracks, as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. For small repairs, either product can be suitable. However, you can use joint compound for small jobs in place of spackle, but you cannot use spackle for large-scale taping and mudding projects.

Through expert matching of texture and paint for an invisible repair.
