J Rich Drywall

He did a great job. The drywall was flawless. He made sure everything was clean before he left.

A plumber had cut out a section of drywall at my mother-in-law's house on the Wednesday before July 4th while repairing a broken pipe. He was to return on Monday to replace the toilet and said it would be much better to have the drywall repaired before the toilet was added. We call as many contractors as possible in the Lawrence, KS area and only found two who answered the phone and were available on such short notice. The first contractor came on Thursday with a bid of $300 and said unkind things about the second contractor including that the second would be much higher.  We didn't like his lack of professionalism.
When John Richardson of J Rich (second contractor) arrived, he was very professional and gave a bid of $200. He was also willing to start work Friday afternoon and complete the work on Saturday, July 4, so we we could have a wall in place before the toilet. He called each time to give us his arrival time, and was very punctual. His work was very professional and it was difficult to tell there had ever been a section of wall and ceiling missing.  John also redid the popcorn ceiling once he replaced a section.
He cleaned up well, though not spotless.  That would be the only slight drawback to his work.  We needed to clean again anyway after painting the wall ourselves on Sunday.
We were very pleased with John's work, work ethic, and professionalism.
