"within minutes, I received a call from the very friendly and professional Michelle. Calling me all the way from California! Michelle explained the services she could and could not offer in terms of my needed furniture repair. And while she cannot help me specifically with my furniture issue, she offered a very generous solution: she is going to send me leather dye for the scratched ottoman and talk me through the repair, should I need help! Michelle also explained that she deals with customers all over the country, in need of leather and purse and clothing repair, cleaning, and restoration. Based on my extremely positive experience with Michelle, I will be sure to call her in the future when I need help with fur, leather or suede goods!!!"

Rick's Carpet Cleaning offers professional upholstery and carpet cleaning services around the Johnson County metro area. If your home is in need of any cleaning, please feel free to give us a call today! I utilize a method that goes beyond steam cleaning called dry cleaning. After steam cleaning carpets for 20 years I learned of a better way that is usually dry before I leave.\n\nUsing a special chemical I apply to the carpet the dirt is encapsulated and then removed with a dry bonnet. I also have an extractor to use when needed. This method is safe and effective. I have been cleaning carpets over 30 years and have learned what to do and most importantly, what NOT to do as I clean your home.\n\nWhen you call Rick to clean your carpet you get me, the owner, not a hired hand. I want to have you as a satisfied customer for life! I clean your carpet or upholstery as if it was my own--the attitude is everything when it comes to cleaning, and I am going to get your home clean!

The best way to save money on HVAC repairs is by regularly having your system inspected and maintained. This can prevent bigger problems and costly repairs and replacements in the future. It’s also smart to buy quality equipment and hire companies that provide warranties on equipment and labor. If you need repairs, you may be able to save money by cashing in on rebates and incentives or keeping the area around your HVAC unit clear to shorten the time your contractor needs to spend in your home.

Dry mode positively impacts indoor air quality by reducing excess moisture, which stops the growth of mold and mildew. By maintaining optimal humidity levels, dry mode creates a less hospitable environment for allergens and airborne pathogens, improving overall air quality. However, it's essential to ensure proper ventilation to prevent stale air accumulation.

Even if you don’t have an exhaust, you can still use a carbon filter in line with a duct fan. This method is known as “scrubbing” because it cleans particles from the air and recirculates the air within your space. This method allows you to keep your enclosed garden space sealed from the outside environment.

Putting an air filter in backward can reduce airflow, which means your air conditioner has to work harder, putting a strain on your HVAC system. This can result in higher energy bills, premature repair, or even system replacement. Always check the manufacturer's guidelines to identify what is the front and back of the filter.

Air purifiers are meant to kill airborne mold, along with pollen and dirt. Air purifiers are a good option if you have allergies and need a whole-home solution, whereas dehumidifiers are best for naturally damp areas (like a bathroom). Consider getting an indoor air quality test to determine if an air purifier is right for you.
