"Great experience with our foundation stabilization. Charlie, our representative, was knowledgeable and easygoing. Brogan and his work team (Aaron, Caden, and Kody) navigated rocky soil full of boulders and tight working spaces to get the job done and done well. The team was polite, professional, and cared about the finished product. Highly recommended."

"Big shout out to Dil and Cruise for doing a splendid job . They were very courteous, patient enough to listen to my concerns and very friendly. The Job was to lift the concrete and seal the joint and cracks . Time will tell how well the seal will hold especially with colorodo weather but so far happy the result. Thank you Trasher."

"PB came out to my property and removed trees that were next to my dog pens that had to be cut carefully to ensure none of my pens were damaged. They were timely, showed up when they said would be there and left a clean work area when finished. Will definitely be calling again in the future."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Yes, concrete is significantly stronger than masonry, especially if the concrete pour includes reinforcements, like steel rebar. Concrete is a uniform material that can withstand compression, sheer force, and tensile force as long as it’s reinforced. Masonry involves the use of mortar or grout to connect individual building materials, like brick, stone, or tile. Mortar and grout are also reasonably strong and resist compression well, but they don’t come close to the strength of poured concrete.

Stone veneer siding is approximately four times less expensive than stone because it's made of concrete and aggregates instead of natural stone. But veneer looks like real stone, is easier to install, and acts as a great, durable siding option.

The material you use depends on how hard-wearing your steps need to be and what you want them to look like. The most common stone for exterior steps is bluestone. It’s hard-wearing and durable, and bluestone steps cost between $15 and $30 per linear foot. Limestone is also a popular option and is mid-range, costing $25 to $50 per linear foot. You should always consider the specific requirements of your project before ordering any materials.

Modern brick houses are really stick-built homes with a brick facade for aesthetic purposes only, so most have framing. With genuine brick construction, most homeowners install furring strips over the interior of the brick and then install drywall over those strips to cover the brick wall, so they don’t have traditional framing.

For most brick cleaning jobs, including fireplace bricks, use a masonry sponge and a gentle cleaner. A simple solution of equal parts water and vinegar, or a few drops of dish soap in a bowl of water, can effectively remove grime. For tougher stains, you can use a dedicated masonry or fireplace cleaner. It is crucial to wet the bricks thoroughly with water before applying any cleaning solution to prevent the brick from absorbing it, and to rinse the surface completely afterward. Harsher cleaners containing bleach or ammonia should only be used as a last resort, and they should never be mixed together.
