"They listen and understood what I wanted. They made a recommendation, that I hadnâ t considered and it was very valuable for my drainage issues. I took the recommendation. The work was done very professionally , one day they installed forms, so I knew exactly where the line would be prior to concrete pouring. Then the work was carefully done for a smooth finish, adequate slope and section lines were drawn. The next day, the forms were removed and the area was complete. Today,, the project manager removed the cover for from the drains and I thanked him for the nice new concrete path I have separating my flower garden area from my lawn, I would have this company do work for me agsin. "I recently had the pleasure of working with this company, and I can confidently say they exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Finding a team that can handle both concrete work and landscaping with this level of quality and professionalism is rare. From the initial consultation, they were knowledgeable, responsive, and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and kept the area clean throughout the entire process. Communication was clear the whole way through, and they made sure I was happy with the results before wrapping up the job. If you?re looking for a reliable company that truly does it all and takes pride in their work, I highly recommend them."

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on material type, labor rates, and additional features like decorative finishes or reinforcement.

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

If you don’t backfill a retaining wall—either at all or adequately enough—the wall won’t drain well, and water will be able to pass through it. Poor drainage will lead to a warped wall or a buildup of hydrostatic pressure, which can eventually collapse your retaining wall. If you have particularly sloped land, consult a structural engineer to ensure your hardscaping is adding value to your home.

Sand and gravel are two suitable options for filling behind a retaining wall. If you’re building your own retaining wall, you’ll complete this part of the process—known as backfilling—after you finish laying the blocks. Make sure not to skip it—otherwise, you could wind up with drainage issues, which can cause your retaining wall to collapse.

Yes, you can use cinder blocks for many purposes, including retaining walls, foundations, garage walls, and fences. Building a cinder block retaining wall costs between $60 and $200 per linear foot, including materials and professional labor. For a 30-foot-long retaining wall, the cost ranges from $1,800 to $6,000.
