"This company gave good ideas on what i should do in terms of landscaping my front and backyard. They were on time for the job, went over and beyond on my landscaping for the money i paid. I would use them again, matter of fact I called them today about another project I have up my sleeve ☺️"

"I couldn’t be happier with the work Toledo’s LawnCare did at my property. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, hardworking, and incredibly detail-oriented. These two gentlemen went above and beyond anything I expected. They took great pride in their work, paid attention to every detail, and treated my property as if it were their own. It’s rare these days to find people who genuinely care about doing an outstanding job, but that’s exactly what I experienced with Toledo’s LawnCare. The finished results exceeded my expectations, and I would not hesitate to hire them again for future projects. If you’re looking for honest, dependable landscapers who work hard and truly care about customer satisfaction, I highly recommend Toledo’s LawnCare. Five stars all the way!"

"Ok gang, Clutch, the owner of the company, will hooook you up with some seriously professional quality work. It started with him stopping by on a freakin Sunday, no less, for just an estimate. Way to prove you’re interested in people’s business. Next, explain in a ‘non-tree guy’ way how you can help us with our situation. Clutch did a great job communicating what he could do, and why we needed it, and what we wouldn’t need. It was not a high-sell, BS sales pitch. I understood it and I was comfortable knowing I was picking the right guy to help out our situation. If you need a tree removed, you’ll be happy you called these guys. Btw, you’re also supporting a veteran-owned business. Not that it’s a huge factor, but it’s obvious where the owner gets his integrity from."

Small jobs welcome

"This crew was one of the best I have ever worked with. It is a family business and both husband and wife were very hard workers. We had a large tree down and they were very efficient and did a great job. Everyone was polite and very nice. There price was great. I was very happy with the experience. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you’re wondering whether you can plant a tree where the stump was removed, know that the soil conditions won’t be ideal, so you should avoid it. The soil beneath the previous tree will likely be depleted of nutrients, plus there may be roots left behind that will seriously hinder the growth of a new tree. Also, if you use salt or other chemical solutions to kill the stump, these can linger in the soil for months or even years and prevent healthy growth. It’s best to choose a different spot that’s at least three feet away for a new tree, or wait at least a year and thoroughly amend the soil before you plant.

Yes, you can prune a palm tree with a chainsaw, but a chainsaw is overkill for a job like this. You risk damaging the tree if you make a bad cut. More commonly, you’ll need pruning shears or a serrated knife to trim a palm tree, or you can use a specialized pruning saw instead of a chainsaw.

You can remove a small tree from your yard if there’s space for the tree to fall, you have the right tools and safety equipment, and you follow a clear plan of action. You’ll just want to follow the steps above carefully, and ideally, you will have experience doing similar tasks. If you have any doubts that you can do this project safely, though, you should hire a pro.

Pruning trees is important for several reasons. It improves tree health and strength by removing dead, diseased, or unwanted branches, which in turn encourages new growth and can help treat disease. For fruit trees, proper pruning can lead to a larger and better-quality harvest. Pruning also enhances safety by removing weak limbs that could break and fall, potentially causing injury or property damage, especially during storms. Beyond these functional benefits, pruning can also improve a tree's appearance. To ensure pruning is done correctly for the tree's long-term health, consider hiring a professional.

A dead tree should always be cut down, because it could fall and cause injuries or damage, and it can also attract insects like carpenter ants. A tree that’s diseased beyond repair should also be cut down, but it’s not always easy for a homeowner to tell. Signs of disease include dying branches, a hollow trunk, leaning, and discolored or missing leaves, but your best bet is to hire a local arborist who can evaluate the tree and tell you if it can be saved or should be cut down.
