"They were great to work with from beginning to end. They had a rep come out quickly to inspect our house and gave us several options on how we could proceed after our lower level flooded. He discussed what we should consider and helped us pick out the right scope of work for our house and budget. When their team came to do the work, they were professional, handled the job quickly and respectively (which was a huge plus as we had a toddler in the house at the time). They sealed off the part of the house they were working on to limit any dust/dirt from where they were working getting anywhere else. We were very impressed. "Well it has been a challenge not knowing alot and all the allowance seem to not be enough to do what you like to do. First time builders would really understand the allowance portion of building and the hidden cost that occur. My builder has been great and helpful, but first time builders purchase your own lights and other things if you can ther is alot of markup in the construction home process. Look over your allowance real good cannot stress this enough make sure it will cover what you plan on doing do they run driveway cement to the road , do you have dimensional or 3 way shingles demensional or the best. Don't allow all carpet in a nice expensive home make sure your allowed to create your ideas and not cut short."

When purchasing 3 contracts for 3 houses, I was promised service within 24-72 hours. The service was not completed until a week later."

"After a severe rainfall my wife and I discovered water was
forcing its way through the basement slab and in between the slab and cove
joints in our basement. Knowing that we wanted to eventually finish the
basement, I contacted five different contractors to assess which had the best
solution to keep the area dry.
In the end we chose Stay Dry based off the company's
proposed solution, experience, and positive review base on Angie's List. While Stay
Dry's solution was similar to what other contractor's quoted, it was superior
in that they used triple-walled perforated pipe--not corrugated--that was
installed next to the foundation footer as it should be. Don't let a
waterproofing company--in my particular case, Ayer's Basement Systems--convince
you that a drainage tile can be installed on top of the foundation footer and
function properly. Reading guidelines the Department of Energy and Oak Ridge
National Laboratory established for proper foundation water management, and a
little common sense, confirm this.
All of this is to say that Stay Dry proposed and installed a
system that is proven to work, and they did so with excellent workmanship. Jim
and his crew were courteous and professional in their conduct throughout the
installation, and I would heartily recommend them--and Stay Dry--to anyone needing
basement work. They literally went above and beyond the scope of what they were
paid to do. They installed a dry well for us, and then they took extra time to
move the left-over dirt to areas that needed improved grading to keep water away
from the house. Nowhere was this in the contract, but they did it free without
question.
I couldn't be happier with the quality of the finished
product, but there is one small thing that could have been done better from the
sales side. We decided to opt for the battery backup sump pump with the Pump
Spy monitoring service, but the Stay Dry sales rep did not disclose the fact that
the Pump Spy service itself included just a 30 day trial, after which there is
a $4.99 monthly fee. I was not made aware of this until I went to activate the
service online when the system was installed. $4.99 is not bad for being able
to regularly monitor the sump's activity and any issues that could arise, but I
do wish that the Stay Dry rep had informed me ahead of time. Regardless, I
highly recommend that anyone who is having basement water issues give Stay Dry
a call and rest assured that their work is worth the investment.

"I wanted to follow up my earlier post now that the job has been completed. The work to be done, our house was built in 1968 and there was a gap between the basement wall and the foundation that needed to be filled. We also needed to encapsulate the space. We were in the process of selling our home, and this issue came up in the home inspection. As anyone who has bought or sold a home this summer knows, we found out all the contracting firms are booked solid. We offered to work with the buyer, making repairs after close via escrow, but the buyer rejected and the offer was withdrawn. We decided to go through with the repairs recommended in the inspection report, including the work listed for the crawl space before relisting. We were concerned we would end up in the same situation, unable to make repairs in the inspection report. We had already purchased our new home and were carrying two mortgage payments. Another delay to close would be expensive. As mentioned earlier, Marty from Advantage Restoration was able to inspect and provide us an estimate for the work needed within days of our call. The owner of the Advantage, Mike Bird, called me directly to work out the schedule. Advantage Restoration was booked up, but our job was a smaller one, so they were able to fit our project between other projects. The work was started at the scheduled date and was completed in 2 days, as estimated. All work was done as specified on the estimate, and the final cost matched the estimated cost. The work itself looked great. The work crew explained the work and each step in the process to completion. The final result, we relisted the house and received a new offer. After inspection, there were no remediation items listed by the buyer, including the crawl space, and we are moving straight to closing. Mission accomplished!
