After the chipping fiasco, Roy was asked to use a drop cloth from then on out. His response to the simple request was one of annoyance and frustration. Roy attempted to use a drop cloth the next day and laid out a narrow cloth 2 feet from the home. I asked for him to use more or a larger cloth so that it would extend 6 ft out. The paint chips fly far and it was pretty obvious from the first clean up day. Roy, again, seeming very annoyed began arguing and complaining. It took 30 minutes to convince him that it was in his best interest to just lay down the cloths and that his arguing was a waste of his time and my own. I ended up helping him with his job of moving the tarps when he was complete for proper disposal. Later that day, he commented to my partner that he did not want to use more tarps because the disposal area was 20 min away and he was bothered by having to drive there. That is his job. And he is blatantly doing minimal clean up because he does not feel like driving 20 min out to dispose of toxic material. This material can only be dumped in this specific location and he was OK with littering it in my yard! THIS IS ABSURD! Roy also broke 8 windows in the house. Upon breaking the first window, he said he did not notice. The second window he broke, he said it broke because those sets of windows were very old. These sets ended up with 7 broken windows. He did not stop after the first one was broken. He did not stop when the second and third were broken. He kept working. Instead of re evaluating the situation and thinking about what he could do better. Could be less aggressive with the paint chipping. Overall, Roy litters, leaves his tools anywhere and everywhere without asking, he argues, and he DOES NOT LISTEN. There were many times where I was asking him where he planned to work next so that I could make sure the area was prepped and clean. He would forget, change his mind, and come up to me upset that that area is not clean. Forgetting that we agreed on a specific area on the following day. He could not answer simple yes or no questions- it seemed as if he did not process the information correctly and acted annoyed that you were asking it. I had to watch this man do his job. It was a waste of my time. And when I was not watching, he was causing stress to my landlord and myself (tenant) "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/in/bloomington/roy-gilmore-reviews-6169971.htm"},"position":1},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Royalty Companies of Indiana Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"IN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Heather L."},"reviewBody":"Working with Royalty was a great experience. They had repaired a ridge vent for us a few years ago, and we were impressed with the attention they gave us for a "mere" $600 repair. So, when it was time for a completely new roof, we called Royalty. A sales person met with us within a work week, and was very patient with helping us weigh the different shingle options, warranties, and choose a color. We were given an approximate work start date, and despite many rainy work days that month, work started within two days of the approximate date (which was about two weeks out from when we signed the contract). The quote given to us was within $500 (4%) of two other quotes we received from local roofing companies. We were really impressed with the prompt and clear communication from our salesperson. He let us know when to expect the dumpster, the roofing crew, the gutter crew, and whenever we called with a question, he returned our call within an hour, even in the evening. The on-site crew was friendly, courteous, and graciously tolerated my five-year-old and two-year-old watching them roof the garage from our two story window. The crew foreman also communicated with us on site throughout the process, answering questions, and informing us on the status of our roof boards. When high winds blew shingles into the garage and vinyl siding, the foreman showed us the damage, asked if the crew could repaint with matching colors, and even repainted a spot where we, the owners, splashed paint on the siding when cleaning brushes. When it came to clean up, the crew did an excellent job, which was especially important with our children who like to run barefoot outside. With the high winds, many of the old shingles tried to fly pretty far, but the crew got pretty much all of the old material cleared out. We only found a few nails in bushes and on the ground, a major improvement over work we had done with other roofers at previous homes. Less than five nails left behind on such a big job was pretty impressive. Start to finish on the roof took two full work days, which included removing two previous layers of shingles. The gutters took less than five hours over an evening and the following morning. We are very pleased with the service we received from Royalty. Our roof and gutters look great, and the price was very comparable to the two other quotes we got from other companies. Our final total only exceeded the quote by the cost of roof plywood that we chose to replace, and we were well informed of the additional cost that would entail when we made that choice during the work. Although we were daunted by needing such expensive home repairs, we felt confident in our choice of provider. We highly recommend Royalty for residential roofing/gutter needs.

He broke down the area into several price estimates, then gave me a total estimate, along with payment options. He told me what I should keep and what should go so that the other trees could thrive. He even answered questions I had around my yard that had nothing to do with this job. He patiently waited while I tried to make a decision. Once I made the decision and set up a time, the foreman, Matt, promptly came with his crew, explained the work to be done, and explained more about what I could do on my own to keep the area under control. We had our tub and tub surround replaced. We thought the price was fair. However, the house was left a mess with mud tracked all over the house and stairs and the old, broken up tub left in the middle of my garage floor. (Don't most people remove trash when working on a project?) As for the tub, there are a few small scratches on the edges, which I can live with. However, there is a rather large chip in the surround that I didn't notice until I was sitting down in the tub. This chip wasn't brought to my attention and they had to have known they did it when trying to force it into the bathroom (without removing the bathroom door), nor was the trim that had been pulled off of the window frame in the process of removing the tub and had been simply pushed back into place without nailing back onto the frame properly. They had also yanked the vent out of the ceiling and left it dangling by wires. Fortunately I did notice that before handing over the check so it was put back into place by the guy picking up the check. The workers were friendly, but not very professional. Neil, the guy who gave the estimate and picked up the check, clearly just wanted the check. I wouldn't suggest their services. However, if you do decide to hire them, check their work very, VERY carefully before paying them. I am not an overly picky person, but I do value honesty and professionalism. I used to groom my former dogs myself (very unprofessionally), but not this dog. Although Jilly is well behaved, playful, affectionate, and cuddly, she is also extremely nervous about life in general (car rides, thunder, rain on skylights, being touched unexpectedly, and being brushed) — and she nips when you least expect it. Jilly nipped at Bethany the first time she was groomed, so before this second visit, I discussed the above with Bethany, and also that our dog likes other dogs, but is afraid of large or aggressive dogs. This info was important because dogs are allowed to play with each other at the salon when they are between grooming activities. Bethany loves dogs and wants them to have a lovely time at Doggie Styles, so she recommended that I bring Jilly in on a day when other dogs are not present. I also sedated Jilly Bean before taking her in. Afterwards Bethany laughingly told me about how things had gone, including a story of how Jilly kept grabbing up little doggie toys as they walked from one grooming area to the next, with one toy falling out of Jilly's mouth as she grabbed the next. (Yes, that's my dog!). When I picked the dog up, Bethany spent 10 or 15 minutes chatting with me about Jilly's experience at the spa and her nervousness/nippiness, which Bethany attributes to a generalized fearfulness and not to pain at being touched or groomed. Bethany gave me some information to pass along to Jilly's vet for consideration, and she told me about a humane "basket muzzle," available at Petco, which would allow us to bathe and brush our dog safely. Tearing down the chimney took the Baker team two days, and it took about a week to rebuild it with new brick. It turned out that they are willing to come done to do the work. We feel comfortable to work with them for two reasons: they have a good rating from Angie's list and they have a brick-and-mortor store. We went to visit the store and liked the wood samples and were pretty happy with the rough price bid the owner Chip provided. Everything went very smoothy from there on. We finally had Asian Walnut installed in our living and dining area. The house looks much more upscaled than it did before. The crew were professional and reasonable. "Brandon came out to evaluate the project. I had 30 piles of asphalt millings that I wanted spread over my driveways. We agreed on a price and he was right on time for when he said he would be back to complete the project. He stayed in constant contact with me (even though I was at work the entire time he was at my home to work) and told me exactly what was going on. He didn’t get the job done in one day like he thought but he returned first thing this morning to finish up. Words can not express the outstanding job that was done. The driveways are as smooth as babies butts and if we needed something changed, he easily adapted to our needs. I highly recommend Mulryan Excavating to anyone needing large equipment work done. FAQs for brush chipping projects in Seymour, IN
Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. On the inexpensive end, red and black mulch are about $35 to $40 per cubic yard, and are typically made from recycled waste wood like shredded old pallets or deck material. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.
