"Because I just had these rods installed a few days ago (and now it's Nov 26, 2021) I haven't had enough time to evaluate the work quality and value - but I have no reason to doubt that both are good. I priced materials for this job, as I originally planned to install themselves, but when I realized that I truly didn't want to get up on the roof of my house (which is quite high) or to get on the roof of my barn (metal, thus slippery) I decided to hire the pros. So that I am very happy with and of course it therefore cost more than it would have if I had done the job myself - but it was safer for me, and also much quicker than I would have been. So, I am glad I called W B."

"We were without air conditioning and our furnace would not work. The installers were here when they said the would be, and completed their work rapidly and effectively. We slept in cool air the very first night. The sales person followed up with a visit to make sure everything was satisfactory."

"From the salesperson to the product to the installers, service was top notch. Billi showed up on time for the quote. The installers (Harley and Lynn) showed up on time, The schedulers were so pleasant on the phone. They told us 6 to 12 weeks to get the job completed. The materials we selected came in early so they moved it to 4 weeks. Then we got a call asking if we wanted to move it up even more as they had a cancelation. So we got our new walk in shower in 2 and 1/2 weeks. The best thing is there are no subcontractors. They all work for West Shore Homes which has been in business for 17 years. They started in Mechanicsburg, PA and now have offices in 15 states. When the installers left they cleaned up after themselves. They layed tarps down to not mar up the floors. Great job. I highly recommend this company."

"Good people and great work with the re-mulching of our property. Very conscientious. They trenched around the entire house, used quality mulch, and made the home look better than the work done three years ago where we had paid nearly twice the price to another company."

"Amazed at the punctuality of the crew. They arrived at 7 AM, were on the roof by 7:15 and were driving away by 1:00 PM. The guttering was scheduled to be done, the crew arrived on time, went right to work and completed the work in an appropriate amount of time. Because of a previous job the equipment they had was wrong for my house. They had a set up for a smaller size gutter so I received a larger size which was an upgrade. The painting was the last thing to be done. It was the minor part of the job. It was completed promptly with no issues."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

A pool builder can advise you on the best design for your property and vision, and can walk you through the process from design to a swim-ready pool. Knowing which questions to ask a pool builder can help ensure you choose the right person for the job.

The most common scale for residential blueprints is 1/4 of an inch equals one foot. This scale is the most popular because it’s easier for everyone involved, from professionals to homeowners, to understand the building’s actual dimensions. Also, it allows blueprints to have the necessary details without cluttering the page.

You don’t have to commit to a complete home renovation to age in place comfortably—those can get pricey. Instead, focus on a few impactful changes. Consider adding a stair lift or installing ramps to eliminate barriers. Upgrading to non-slip flooring can prevent falls while adding brighter lighting can improve visibility throughout your home. These thoughtful updates can make your home much easier to navigate and enhance your comfort and safety without the stress and cost of a complete overhaul.

Custom homes can take an average of 18 months to build, mainly due to the lengthy design process, and most projects take somewhere between 12 and 24 months. When you work with the right custom home builders near you, they can help you map the road ahead and understand what can speed up or delay the timeline. Choosing locally available materials, for example, can speed things up without losing that customized touch.

The process involves initial consultation, concept development, detailed planning, regulatory approvals, and integration of contractor work for project execution.
